.111 hitter in the MLB. Pretty damned lousy.

ooooh. in 9 whole at bats. great statistics -- keep them coming -- don't bother with context!

Oooh .248 in the minors! What context does that involve? Complete and total suckage at the sport?

Henson did not show much at all. but...ROMO MURDERED HIM THIS PS WITH HIS PLAY.:)

did I dispute that #? No. But lots of guys make careers in MLB with those sorts of #s.

The MLB #s were crap - you know that and tried to slip them in.

Hitting .248 in the minors is completely and totally different that doing it in the bigs, you know that.

Losing a 3rd round pick hurts, but it is in no way shape or form the end of the world. What difference does the cap hit make for us this year? None? I diddnt think so.
3 million.

Nors? Whatever happened to him? He brought some nice insight and refreshing views. At times he was annoying but dang he spot on was right Romo over Henson.

I'm hoping we get a pick for Henson here.

Actually, it's interesting that YOU would ask that question in this thread in particular.

Realist - I have monitored many boards over the years and you are one of the better Draftniks out there. Nors views were rather pointed here on topic and well, spot on. Look forward to talking draft hombre.;)

Nice to see we got tremendous value for Shanle and Singleton is an elder Don type adding value as a backup. I like Al Singleton a lot for his stand up leadership role he has accepted.

hey Jack, do you miss Nors, too? :laugh2:

I wish the zone brain trust would bring him back.
He did have some interesting ideas. It was a lot of fun having him here...of course Hos is probably saving a bundle on blood pressure medicine. :D

Nors didn't bother me. He was full of himself. He's still around by the way. I know exactly what username he is using. In fact he posted today. Possibly even in this thread.

Meanwhile he spreads lies about this forum and the posters here elsewhere, while secretly trying to come back.

Although you're right his MLB numbers don't mean diddly, very few players make it to the bigs hitting .248 in the minors, unless they are a wunderkin defensively. His OBP and K rate were horrible too, and as his hitting worsened he became a nightmare defensively.

That said, Henson was rushed to AAA by the Yankees because of his contract and their void at 3B before the A-Rod trade. He might have been a very different story had he been allowed to progress at a slower pace through the minors.

Not that that matters a bit now.
