We had lost our momentum long before that. The team was stumbling and injuries were mounting before we rested for a week.

Owens and Gurode both hurt against the Panthers really hampered the team. They were not healthy by the time Dallas played in the playoffs.

Um if we beat Wash and Green Bay beats Detroit we become #2 seed and get a bye. Am I wrong?

I'm glad Dallas isn't flexed to SNF next weekend. That way they don't have to fly home late Sunday night. It is only a few hours difference, but I prefer them getting back to Dallas at a reasonable time and starting their preparation for the playoffs.

Romo and Dez don't need to play a snap next week to be ready for Detroit the following week.

It's weird to read that with a game left lol

If we were playing for a chance to get into the playoffs next week, you can bet that game would be flexed.

We absolutely dominated the 1st half but didn't get a lead. We ran the ball too much in my opinion - even though it worked, it didn't result in TDs.

We won a weak division. Still an amazing job with non divisional teams we beat but it is what it is. I'm not sure the players we would rest would want to. They know what's ahead of them. I think they want to end the season on a high and start the new season strong.

How is it a weak division? Cause the skins and giants pooped the bed?
It still took 11-4 to win it

So if I understand you correctly the outcome of next week's game has no bearing on playoff seeding for us. So if Arizona loses tonight and St. Louis wins next week against Seattle we can tank the game at Washington and still get a bye?

Arizona would have to lose next week as well.

I'd rest them. First time we've been in playoffs in 5 years. Let's make this one memorable. Keep this momentum going.

That was what they did in our 13-3 year ........ and we lost our momentum and fell flat.

Great point.

I don't think there's one right way to do it. I think you have to know your team and what they'll most benefit from. Do they need reps or rest?

This is why Jason Garrett gets paid the big bucks. If he is allowed to actually make that call.
