All I'm hearing is they were doing it for Jr and that is a crock of BS

I have no dog in this fight. But from what I saw there was no reason for a yellow flag either. Whoever was in front had no bearing on NASCAR's decision IMO.

Absolutely. I love NASCAR and go to a lot of the races. I was at Charlotte in the Diamond Tower for the All Star race. One thing that no one can deny is that while Jr. may be the fan's favorite driver, he is also NASCAR's. The things they do to make sure he has EVERY benefit to win a race is something to see.

As you said, if his name wasn't Earnhardt that flag would have been flying.

without a doubt. I had the biggest Jr fan in the world at my house and when that car went sliding sideways I said, well there's another yellow and he basically screamed "not with Jr leading" and started laughing, then he almost cried.
