I like him as a better option than Orton if Romo is out (biting my tongue) for an extended period. He does have the tools and I think this is a good offensive scheme for him.

You can't ever tell until you see him in a game...but, yeah, I'm hopeful, too. You can't go off of what the players say in OTAs all that much, but they seem to like the way he handles the huddle...I've heard that more than once. Witten, Frederick, at least have said good things. It might be just because he's a higher profile guy, but we're hearing more about him than I remember hearing about Orton when he first got here. Or about, say, any of the other guys we've trotted into camp to play third string QB recently. Hopefully it's a good sign and not just a function of the guys having mics in their faces.

LOL. Yet another fake fan who doesn't watch the games. 22 points and 2 interceptions against the worst pass defense in the league. Yeah, the offense ran better... in the fantasy world between your ears.

So using a 16 game average
Romo = 10.7 picks
Orton = 32.0 picks

:eek:

Just kidding...sort of.
He played ok, and given how hurt Romo was late in the year, the gap was not enormous.

I will maintain that once DCs around the league start game-planning him, he would be exposed and back to his high 70s-low80s QB ratings.
I think in the worst year of his career, Romo maybe got all the way down tot he low 90s.

I'm also fine with Weeden as our backup. I think he will do a lot better behind our line and with the offensive weapons we have here. He was a sitting duck in Cleveland.

This. The poor guy had no chance for success in Cleveland. The key for him in Dallas (if Romo goes down) will be the o-line.

Don't throw actual examples in their face. that's unfair.

Yeah, both Kitna and Orton came in when Romo got his *** kicked again! Both of those guys could have never taen the pounding Romo took, yet when Romo had to sit out from a grueling season getting busted up like a friggen rag doll, those fresh guys came in and did somewhat good. Let them take the pounding that Romo has taken...see how that works out! smh

LOL td to int is your evidence.
When you dink and dunk like romo and your OC refuses to run the ball inside the opponents five, even the great Quincy Carter could have put up those #s.

Orton had 2 practices to prepare for that game so he was totally rusted, yet he still made the offense run better than Romo.

It is certainly better evidence than "LOL" given the top TD to INT ratios in NFL history belong to Rodgers, Brady, Manning, and Steve Young. Saying Orton ran the offense better than Romo in that game is so out-of-this-world ridiculous trolling that it is barely worth responding.

Well, just maybe they get the ball out faster and hit those tight windows, you know, the ones Tony won't go to. But hey, the OC says we're going down the field, so we'll see how it shakes out.

I hope they toss it up, let the X go and get it. But, I also hope they ram it down their throats! It is looking like the oline is going to be really good this season.

We are looking really good, although I really, really am afraid to mention it.
Alter all, I thought we'd be nic naming the front four last year when Rat came back and bought into Rod's system, so I'll shut up now.

So many changes in the locker room environment does wonders for a team. A younger team. And those young football players are going to play some defense. Fast and aggressive... they will make a mistake or two, but, the opposing player will know not to do that again! :eek:

Romo is light years ahead of Orton who is slightly ahead of Weeden. We are screwed if Romo goes down or is not the same post back surgery either way.
