We may be the only base that looks for one to blame instead of actually viewing the failures. Since the QB touches the ball, apparently our D gets immunity. We have a roster that is not playoff contention at all, from the beginning, yet that gets dismissed into false hopes every year, including hailing our backup QB into a baffling QB competition or controversy, we have a DE constantly talking "star talk", yet stats say something different. We've had a DB yapping about "Deez Nuts" but running from tackles and now injured. We have a WR group that is completely dependent on 1 WR, we've had injuries like a warzone, yet only one injury has been questioned and even described as quitting, we've had an old RB repeatedly criticized, yet we got two old RBs (Cook), we've had an OL that was bad from the beginning of the season, we let a CB leave (Gilmore) or grab someone when we were shorthanded in the CB group from the beginning, we immediately hype new players despite poor player evaluation/development trends from this franchise. We have an Owner/GM/HC, the only one in the league. We have a "puppet coach", the only one in the league, again. We expect perfect & flawless play through all the flaws from our starting QB, then use the very same flaws to heap as praise justifiers, elsewhere.
100% nailed it!!!

How am I wrong? The center is an important position but qb is the most importanr
You're not wrong. You're talking to Dak's fantasy BF. It was the worst deal ever and will be a laughingstock for the next 3 years

No shortage of candidates this year, but Ill go with Guyton. He was put in a tough spot this year, one he clearly wasnt ready for, but the tape just wasn't that of a starting caliber Tackle in this league. Coming into the year I expected him to struggle and really thought he needed a full year to build his strength up. He had a few moments mid season where he flashed some good play, especially in the SF game, but it wasn't enough for me to stay optimistic on the guy. Coming into play yesterday he was 35th in pressures allowed and 3rd in the league in penalties at Tackle despite being 53rd in the league in total snaps. It would be one thing if he really struggled in one area or against one type of rusher or move, but he needs work across the board. He got beat bad this year with straight bullrushes, outside speed, double moves back inside. He does seem to do well on the gap/power runs, but ultimately its a zone running league these days.

Dont rule him out yet, but I think it would be a mistake to pencil him in as a starter in 2025. He needs to have a legitimate competitor to battle it out with in camp to earn a spot.
My vote is Guyton as well.
Has athletic traits but gets beat up in pass protection.
There’s still
Hope, but remember the glowing reports from training camp about how he was stifling the Dallas def line…..

I know the easy answer is Jerry, but I have to tell you guys I am really disappointed with the entire braintrust in the organization.

Jerry, Stephen, Will, Adam P, MM and Solari. There seemed to be consistent mistakes made by all those men from off-season, training camp to the regular season.

But the most egregious to me was the spin doctoring. For some reason this year I actually felt I was being lied to as a fan.

It is disappointing to me as a lifelong fan of the team.

Jake Ferguson.

Had really high hopes for him this year after a solid 2nd season.

But he hasn't done anything all season and hasn't caught a single pass beyond 8 yards it seems.

He's been bad.
Wasting another 4th round pick.

Just overall Health and fitness of the team. Did we ever get to see 100% Bland line up opposite 100% Digg?

Name me all the QB's that can single handedly carry a team. I will hang up and listen.

Joe Burrow
Lamar Alexander
Josh Allen

All three of those guys have the heart of a Lion and advanced skills sets. There is a reason they are called Franchise QBs. They make lesser players much better. They inspire other players to play better. No one doesn't think the Cowboys wouldn't be a playoff team if they had just one of the 3 named above as their starting QB.

The play of the last two first round picks.

Mazi is bust city and Guyton was awful as a rookie.

We need Guyton to make MAJOR steps or the franchise is staring down the barrel of two first round busts in a row.

Devastating for a team that basically solely builds through the draft.
yep.
as this team does not do free agency, you got to kill the draft...

How is a backup RB a disappointment. This is the irrational Zeke hate. I don't think anyone has much expectations on him.
The fact that the FO thought he was a number 1 back just shows you everything you needed to know about this team coming into the season. That is the disappointing thing.
