OJ Simpson and now Bill Cosby. Lovely symbols of our legal system.

You note I do not call it a justice system.

Same day Allison Mack is sentenced to 3 years in prison. Cosby story is a diversion from Nxium story that Hollywood is hiding.

You notice MSM barely talks of Nxium. They need to get several actresses that were involved and question them.

If you wonder what I'm talking about . You notice a lot of models marry like rich old rock stars or billionaires. Now think a aspiring model or actress wants to make it big. What does she give up for fame? How does eligible billionaires meet these smoking hot women? Now include Jeffrey Epstein & Nxium into this. How about these billionaires just like very young girls or even guys? The Price for Fame comes at a price and you wondered " Why someone who is famous commits suicide or their life is a total trainwreck"? What did they do for fame?

Even the scum of the earth deserve a fair trial.

This is fair.. or complete incompetence? Fair trial is another dumazz phrase that gets tossed around. Celebrities with cash are a different story though. Like I said, this system's a joke.

about to be a domino effect from this, with more chaos afterwards if it follows this process. A very recent conviction comes to mind.

I don't like it but the former DA made an agreement which prevented potential charges and as I've read it took away the chance for Cosby to invoke his 5th amendment for the Civil trial where he made those incriminating statements.

1. We know he's guilty
2. His reputation is ruined.
3. More lawsuits can/will follow

This is not a po-lit-i-cal issue. Basically, as I understand it, the DA who was prosecuting the case initially made an agreement with him, not to prosecute if he cooperated. The DA that took over the case did not hold up that agreement so the case was overturned. This does not seem to be anything other then a sloppy job of prosecution or just plain old dishonesty on behalf of our judicial system.

Everybody, put your long knives away.....

That's unfortunate, if that's the case.

Everybody says the rich get away with crimes the rest of us wouldn't, and in some ways that is true. The rich get "away" with it because they can compete with the government on getting a fair trail. The government has almost unlimited resources to convict someone and most of us cannot afford a legal team to challenge them. It doesn't matter if someone is guilty or not, it's the government's job to prove it. In this case they would not have been able to prove it without Cosby's statement he made thinking he would not be charged as promised.

How do you mean, the job the prosecution team or the whole sheathing the long knives?

The whole thing. If he got out because he was promised something that wasn't delivered then it's kind of messed up he ever went.

At the same time, if he's a rapist - which he was convicted of being - then he's still a rapist today regardless of whether or not the prosecution didn't hold up their end of the bargain.

I think Dak summed it up pretty well. Legally, probably the right decision based on what he agreed to, but morally another rapist is on the streets.

Elections fix that problem, or at least they should, but you have to back candidates that support that line of thought.

From what I read the DA gave Cosby immunity for his testimony in the civil trail, but after the DA left office his replacement used Coby's testimony in the civil trial to convict him in the criminal trial. This was a no brainer for the higher court. What is shocking to me is that the judge in the criminal trial allowed the testimony in the first place. He or she set up this latest ruling to throw out his conviction.

I agree. If this was some low income dude down the street they'd be dragged out into the street and beaten.
