I don't like it but the former DA made an agreement which prevented potential charges and as I've read it took away the chance for Cosby to invoke his 5th amendment for the Civil trial where he made those incriminating statements.

1. We know he's guilty
2. His reputation is ruined.
3. More lawsuits can/will follow

Yup, your second point is exactly what I was going to say.

His legacy, "America's Dad", is completed tarnished now. I'm sure that hurts him more than some prison time.
