needs to be our head coach... he said he wouldn't mind coaching if the right situation came up. Waive TO, sign Boldin in the offseason & give Cowher an s-load of money to coach the Cowboys.

Just throwing this out there... Some reason I think this would help; I mean could it really be worse???

NY Post, which wants him to take over the Jets, reported that he's not coaching in'09. We'll see.

He is one of the happy people laughing at jerry right now.

You can forget him coming anywhere near this team.

He wouldnt even be able to hire his own staff something i think he excels at.

So what would be the point of having him here. Capers could be brought with him, there are natural fits, but no way he wants any part of the Sinking ship jerry jones is running.

Since Whisenhunt is a head coach now, you realize that Gailey would probably be his choice for OC.

Anyone have a problem with that? The lowly Chiefs did average the most points per game over the last 9 games this season with a scrub at QB and a patchwork line.

They reported all weekend long that Cowher has been quoted as saying he's not mentally ready to return to coaching yet this coming season and it would be at least the 2010 season before he'd be ready to get back to coaching.

The word on the street in Cleveland is that he turned down an offer earlier today to become the Browns HC stating he likes the life he lives in NC and doesn't want to coach in 09. The selfish person in me remains hopeful that's all a smoke screen.

Speaking of Cowher. In his first season at Pitt. he went 11-5, in his second season he went 9-7. He didn't win a playoff game until his third year.

Maybe there's something to the whole "don't fire a coach after one bad season" mentality.

Cowher doesn't want to coach in 2009.

But, reports are coming out that Parcells wants to coach again. Would you guys want him back if those reports are true?

I might be alone in this thought, but a coach can only do so much. At some point, the players have to want to win.

Jerry would need to take a back seat like he did with Parcells for Cowher to come to Dallas.

Cowher wants complete control.

This is not Wade's second season nor his first bad season.

In that ESPN article about Cowher not coaching for the Browns is correct but it also says that Cowher has not ruled out coaching in '09. Just saying, anything is possible and he is the kind of coach that we NEED for THIS team. They need some dicipline and they need to let Romo become the "leader" of the team by getting rid of TO and getting someone like Boldin (who doesn't want to play for Arizona next season and is a FA).

Hope is nice... always, GO COWBOYS!!!

Ha! I'm pretty sure Parcells would rather have his eyeballs gauged out with a spoon than come back to Dallas.

I would give my right arm for that, but he is way too smart to come back here and coach. The staff he took forever to get right in Dallas, guys he now trusts are all in miami, he even finally got Dan Henning out of carolina and on his staff.

I dont see him coaching ever again.

I would take Bill Cowher in a New York minute... Wade needs to do the right thing resign... and we will be nice enough to mail his belongings to him....

That is the only solution for Dallas to win a playoff game. Coaches like that also drive players to gain mental edge in Dec and Jan. Our softie doesn't kow what that means
