For the fact guys, below are his career highlights. has a career record of 12-9 in playoffs. he won 12 games in playoffs, what a disappoint job compared to our team which is winning superbowls every year (on paper or in JJ head for the last 13 years). played 6 times in AFC championship games winning 2. I would take a playoff victory in his first year if that is all he is going to give me. Wade is going to go 7-9 next year when our team becomes SOFTER :)

Super Bowl XL victory (2005)
2 AFC Championship victories (1995, 2005)
4 Times played in AFC Championship games
AP NFL Coach of the Year (1992)
2x Pro Football Weekly NFL Coach of the Year (1992, 2004)
149-90-1 (regular season record)
12-9 (playoff record)
161-99-1 (overall record)

I think Cowher is a fine coach and if he ever came to Dallas I would give him my support meaning I would not be hollering to fire him after 2 seasons if things did not go as planned; I seriously doubt many around here would do the same. Hell we hired BP and some around here wanted him gone and now Wade. I have no doubt the same whinny fans would be calling for Cowher head very quickly if he does not win right away.

Bill Parcells <> Cowher

Although they both are what these lazy players need to but chewing. Parcells is old and kind of burned out after 2 years and he dragged on for another 2 more years. He did have a cup full of talented players when he cam here, we had 3-4 players when he left that he inherited? But their approach will be the same and like parcells said, if we don't start winning playoff games in 2 years, players are going to turn on cowher too

Bad news incoming from WFAN...

Cowher might very well land with the JETS. He says he's interested in coaching in NY in 2009 if given full control. Apparently 2 of his daughters will be going to school in NY/NJ. "if all conditions are right".

The JETS need him to collect PSLs $$$ which will go out this winter.

Otherwise he says he'll be coaching in 2010 (dallas hopefully).

If 2010 is the season when Owens is not on the roster, it's a possibility that Cowher would take the reins if Jones offered him the job. However, if Owens is still here, it ain't happening.

He's already rejected it because he wants to bring his own personnel guy with him but the Jets are keeping Tannenbaum.

Players are not turning on the coach fans are as normal. As for handling players I don't think you handle them all the same, Johnson never did. He gave leeway to top players and came down on avg players. I also do not think one type of coaching style is correct or incorrect, not all coaches get their message across by chewing out players.

He is one of the happy people laughing at jerry right now.

You can forget him coming anywhere near this team.

He wouldnt even be able to hire his own staff something i think he excels at.

So what would be the point of having him here. Capers could be brought with him, there are natural fits, but no way he wants any part of the Sinking ship jerry jones is running.

Give me a break. All Jerry would have to do is say that all he has to do is say he can pick his own staff and that he would have the same weight on personnel as Parcells did. He would likely say that he wanted him to strongly consider keeping Garrett just as he did with Parcells and Zimmer.

All of this is not even unprecendented but hey lets keep on the bagging of Jerry. He sure makes an easy and convenient scapegoat.

This idea that no one would want to coach here or the like is really quite funny. Guys want the Cleveland job for pete's sake and we have a TON of talent on the roster.

It's not a matter of not liking him, it's simply pointing out the facts. What do you think our fan base would do if we brought Cowher here and he didn't win a Super Bowl for more than a decade? What would we do if he posted a three year record of 22-26? He'd be thrown out.

What do you think happens if we keep Wade and go 4-11 with another weekly media circus?

This is a pointless argument. You continually try to get better, always. When something is obviously not working you try something different.

This is not working.

Someone like Cowher may come in and start a new Dynasty or flop on his face, but that doesn't mean you sit on your hands and do nothing while the team is obviously, blatantly unraveling before our eyes.

I like old school and by but chewing, I meant pushing players hard to give them that mental edge in fourth quarter and december. Have harder training camps, hit with pads during the weeks. I Believe our OL can push any DL if "properly" motivated

I don't have anything against having a hardnosed coach what I am saying it 1 style of coaching is not correct and the other incorrect and in the end be it a hardnosed coach or a player’s coach I would still give that HC more than 2 years. I will also say these are high priced players hell most make more than any HC in the NFL I kind of expect that they have some sense of self motivation. You can give all the speeches in the world but in the end the player plays the game and has to take it on himself to be ready both mentally and physically. I guess this is where conflict of this is a game or this is a business comes into play, if this is a business then the boss should not be on you about doing your job.

incorrect.

they are now scheduling a meeting with no prerequisites.

plus tannenbaum (a cap lawyer with no football clue -- see jerry) will be dumped faster than you can count 1.2.3 by woody j (owner) or made "cap" guy again to structure contracts.
