Because 31 coaches jump off a cliff does that mean Bill should join them? :laugh2: This is more of a social affair where these guys sit around drinking, Bill attending or not attending is not a big deal one way or the other.

Actually they were playing golf at Bay Hill CC today , but that's basically the same thing .

No, it's an indictment. It's totally unprofessional. It's his silence that fuels speculation. Even if he's lying through his teeth, he should release a written statement.

Showing up and giving a statement adds more info ino the pot, and then just produces a new round of pointless articles speculating whether Bill is 'lying through his teeth.' His words will be parsed ad nauseum, trying find that one connotation are ill chosen word which 'exposes' Bill real hate of everything TO and how he was shoved down Bill's throat by Jerry.

It will filter out of the media faster if no new fuel is added. Even the media gets tired of empty speculation after a while.

Otherwise, we're entitled to think meddling Jerry is still pulling the strings.
That's the point. Bill doesn't give a snot what we think.

Parcells did not attend last year or the year before. He only attended his first year as a courtesy to Jerruh.

Don't people remember Jerruh's PC last year when he was asked about it? He indicated that that's what Bill always does. (And he does--he rarely showed when he was with the Jets or Pats either.) He thinks it's a waste of time.

If you read the comments from the new HC of the Lions, he said he didn't want to be there either & was only there because Millen told him to.

And if he's there, he's supposed to do what exactly that will be such a benefit to the Cowboys? All the coaches do there this week is play golf & preen on "NFL Total Access."
Exactly, KM... Didn't Parcells really, really not want to go that first year, but he reluctantly did as a favor to Jerry? And from then he chose not to attend... Like he always had at previous coaching stops?

Who knows what Parcells thinks about T.O., but I don't think skipping these meetings is any indication of it. This is just like when Bill didn't attend the T.O. press conference and the media jumped on it... Even though he didn't attend Keyshawn's or Bledsoe's, either.

By "employer" I mean the league. JJ doesn't do the inviting; the NFL does. Are we to believe that 31 other coaches got invitations but not Bill? Face it: he has no good excuse for bailing.

"But he didn't attend Bled or Key's press conferences!"

True, but he talked on-the-record about those acquisitions and gave his blessings in the weeks thereafter. Not so for TO -- yet.

He did? When? Seems to me the last few years have been just like this one: No comments at all from Parcells except for a few words with reporters at the Combine. And Owens was signed after that time.

The NFL does not pay Bill's salary, Jerry does.

The league is not paying Bill, Jerry is. The NFL is not the Bill's Boss Jerry is.

The NFL is a socialistic enterprise. Because money is shared more or less evenly, every coach, player, and scout is technically an employee of the league. So instead of obsessing on semantics, I suggest you answer the question: was Bill invited or not?

BB, get this straight: WE DON'T CARE if BP went to that stupid meeting or not. And if JJ did not order him to go, then there is no reason for him to go. Its not like he has gone much before.
AND you are TOTALLY full of it about who is BP's employer. ITS JJ AND NO ONE ELSE- and that is the way it is no matter how twisted you try and make it.
