Bill Parcells get a pass if...

The interception was not the problem. It was the last field goal, that i took exception with. Go back with me here! WE destroyed Alexander at the point of attack, We hit hassleback so many times it was'nt funny. BP continued to run the ball and went deep once to peerless late in the third and to glenn once or twice. BP's refusal to open the offense because he believes that we will make mistakes caused us that game. We were outside the 20 yard line and he played for the fieldgoal. He said that in the skins game and the hawks game. The three plays from the 20 were run plays that were blown up leaving us with the unenviable task of stopping them from scoring! Abersonc come on now, was he not at fault there!

BP said he was too old to try and win later, What does that say about his long term aspirations!

Now here is where you are wrong. BP tried to open it up earlier in the game in Seattle. However, in the 2nd half, most of our offensive series ended with Bledsoe sacks, incompletions forced by the pass rush, or plays that got blown up by crap blocking. You can say "open it up" all you want. But to do so when your line is not able to keep guys off the QB just leads to turnovers.

Against the Skins, Drew threw 36 passes -- that's hardly conservative. What killed us in that game were some huge OL penalties and the 3 botched center-qb exchanges. Huge, drive killing snafus.

Seriously, you might want to review those games before you attribute the losses to bad play calling.

And the reason (IMO) we have so many offensive penalties, is that the line knows it stinks, and is nervous.

THey know they are constantly getting beat, and they over compensate resulting in false starts and holding penalties. Those penalties kill good drives.

I had to look back on the play calling, and now I somewhat agree with what Parcells has been doing.

Wow -- someone gets it! And here I thought that no one on the board got me a Festivus gift.

I think what folks don't understand is that if you call aggressive, long pass type plays when the line sucks you are going to end up with turnovers and with Tony Romo at QB. Then at least we could have this season done with and get on to important stuff like discussing the 2006 draft.

I'm still not sure he needs a pass. The man has completely rebuilt a team that was much worse than many people realize. He has a very young and talented defense that has shown a lot of grit in learning a new scheme. He's had a fairly effective offense, all things considered.

I know there are a lot of fans that think they could do his job better (and that's just part of the game), but I think he's done a heck of a job with this team - whether they get into the playoffs or not.

Let me see! I said conservative playcalling was BP's fault! He hired PAyton DeHaven Sporano and retained zimmer. Johnson, Rivera,Stewart,Peterman,Rogers are horrble. HE refused to sign a proven free safety which was a glaring weakness w/ $5 million cap space. He refused to open the offense because "you leave yourself open to mistakes" "you are what your record says you are" BP did not bring in veteran backups for the oline and that BP refused to stomp on teams that we dominated for 58 minutes and allowed them to come back and win!

Where in those statements have i been wrong!

have you ever considered that the players weren't executing? esp. on offense? remember Drew Bledsoe already has said this year, that at times, they weren't executing properly

it's not all Bill's fault bro

Crayton who will never be a #1 WR.

What? Parcells wasted a 7th round draft pick on a guy who will never be a #1 WR?

What a horrible evaluator of talent.

dumbest statement...ever

That's assuming Ellis and Glover are on the way out, which I said, and I believe.

If that's the case, we'll be about where we were in '03.

Crayton was a nice choice.

But three 2nd round picks and a 3rd on the OL without a good player in the bunch isn't very good.

I don't know, we have SPears and Canty for DE, and Ratliff looked like something, and Ferguson is a good NT, and NTs can play well into their 30s

I think w/o Glover and Ellis, we'll be fine on the DLine, and it's not like Parcells is going to stop drafting them, plus BP has a feeling about Thomas Pepper Johnson

I like both Spears and Canty a lot.

Ferguson should be more than a good DT, considering how much he costs over the next 4 years.

Ditto Marco Rivera.

In fact, I hope you're right. I hope Parcells does just keep drafting them because another off season with a few more contracts like Rivera and Ferguson, and not only will we be an old team in 2 years, we'll be in cap hell too.

DT will be addressed in the draft.

BP stayed with an ineffective run game and you have yet to explain why he played for the fieldgoal when we were 1st and ten from the 20! He ran three straight plays down there, we were dominating this yeam the whole game.
Who called for the that god forsaken three man front on the final drive for the hawks. Check your replays and explain that please!

I don't remember exactly, but I think we missed a fieldgoal or 2 in that game that would have sealed the deal. (don't know for sure though)
