CowboysZone LOYAL Fan
Tuna is the last HC in the NFL to ever use his starting QB on special teams (2006 Romo)
just lunacy
but to be fair, notsure if a less distracted full time holder wouldve fared better in Seattle that day, as the ball looked like a greased pig.
NFL changed the rules afterthat and allowed each team to control their own special teams balls

Zeke used to jsut punish people, basically seek out contact and not do anything to lessen the blow of hits.

There’s an art to like going with a tackle ya know. Liek knowing how to fall. I think he just beat his body up and he has no burst no more
yep its not his fault, RB age so much faster then anyone.

Not sure if this has been posted or not. BP sees it how I do.

The Super Bowl-winning coach said he likes what he sees from the team on defense but the offense -- particularly Kellen Moore's play-calling -- is hurting the team.

That's not to say that Dak didn't wet the bed but Kellen was asleep at the wheel simultaneously.
On Pollard:
"I don't know if he can hold up for too long physically," Parcells said

There has always been a rap against Pollard that "he can't handle the load", but I don't think reality supports that.

His broken leg was a hip drop thing. You can break anyone's leg like that.

And just his style of running makes me worry less about injury to him. He has great contact balance and just bounces off would-be tacklers. He's not a bludgeoning back, but doesn't get bludgeoned either.

I think he's held up well splitting carries, and that's what most backs do these days.

The Dak haters/detractors are now going to hate Coach Parcells. That probably makes up about 90% of this board.
:muttley:
...and the Dak lovers will continue to reach at anything to deflect the fact that their poster boy mediocre QB continues to choke it against teams when it counts.

What do you mean? Every bad play? Every bad game? Or just the Interceptions? Discussing this topic with you would make as much sense as trying to teach a cow scuba diving. The triumvirate of Dak infatuation will defend the man no matter what.
Why do you think every qb doesn't have these same problems?

We have been hearing that Herbert is top of the nfl talent, but can't get his team into the playoffs without a miracle. And don't say he has no talent, they got a great wr duo. And besides, don't you guys always say Dak can't win unless you give him alot of talent.

He could win us a championship if he stopped turning the ball over and be a bus driver. Let the defense lead. That's really all he had to do Sunday.
In the Divisional Round, 37 pass attempts while the Cowboys attempted 22 runs. Bottom line - you don’t really want Dak-heavy offense. Emphasize the run game and play-action if Dallas wants to continue with Prescott. Bring back the FB position and double down on RB and OL. And end the Kellen Moore Experiment.

Really? Show us proof. Sure, Dak will have a bad game or two against good teams, but it's not a habit where it happens often. I've got proof to prove you wrong, but I'll wait to see what proof you come up with first. If Dak was choking often against good teams, I would be right there screaming with you for his replacement, but from what I have seen, that's not the case. So let's see what proof you've got to back up your boisterous accusations. Or not.

Does it have to be good teams though? Just this year, from the beginning of our stretch run starting in December, we played 8 games. He was terrible in 3, mediocre in one, good to great in the other 4. Yes, he played great against a tough opponent in Philly but offset that by sucking in the San Fran game. He was great against Tampa, which isn't a great team by any stretch, but was mediocre against a mediocre Titans team. And he was bad against two bad opponents - Washington and Houston.

I'd say we played in 7 "big" games this year. I define big as quality of opponent, historical importance, prime time, divisional rival, etc.

Tampa (1st) - not good
@GB - mediocre
Minnesota - great
Giants - mediocre
Philly - great
Tampa - great
San Fran - not good

So it wasn't like he lit it up in most of our big games this year, he was kind of 50-50 even in the big games.

Considering Dak had only 1 receiver weapon, 1 good RB, average Oline which was constantly injured, receiving group which led the league in smallest amount of separation, poor passing route concepts and play designs, plus below average playcalling, I would say Dak did fairly well. Improve all of these issues, plus get Dak better QB coaching, he could be much better.
