Drew is not an all time great/HOF player.

Because with Bledsoe it's a trend. Not just a bad game. Hell, it goes beyond trend, it's a behavioral pattern. Every team in the league knows if you pressure Bledsoe up the middle with any amount of success, the game is OVER. It won't matter if this team makes it to the play-offs or not, teams like Atlanta, NO, Chicago, Philly and Seattle will eat us for lunch with Bledsoe at the helm.

Is the line to blame a bit? You bet. But, look at the piss poorl ine that SF has. Alex Smith in his second year has as many wins as Bledsoe, with HALF the line the we have. At some point the accountability has to fall at Bledsoe's feet after 3 teams, and all too similar results.

I was listening to BSPN radio this morning on the way to work (because I'm that kind of glutton for punishment), and Joe Theisman said, probably, the only thing I've ever heard him say that I agree with. He said "As a QB you don't always have to be the reason that your team wins, but you can never be the reason that they lose". That's where we are with Bledsoe. This isn't the first game that the guy has had a direct hand in pissing away. And, as long as he's at the helm it won't be the last.

Sorry but his numbers and track record for turning around downtrodden franchises say otherwise.....

You don't have to be sorry for being wrong.

Stats alone don't indicate greatness. Great players don't always play great, they play great when it matters. Something Bledsoe has continually proven that he's not capable of.

He's taken a team to the superbowl twice.....also has over 30 career come from behind wins in the 4th quarter or overtime.

I sure hope you dont truly believe Bledsoe is an all time great. He is far from it. He has a career 77.0 QB rating, that is the sign of mediocrity not greatness.

His all time best QB rating is 87.7.

Eight of his 13 years he has had a sub 80 QB rating. This guy is by no means a great QB.

I believe the defense score "some" points last week and Drew started the game off with an INT

They scored seven points when Dallas was already in control.

Forget the interceptions.

Forget the fumbles.

Forget the sacks.

Ya wanna know what makes me ill?

Second play of the game, Bledsoe stands in the pocket...hardly any pressure...has no receiver and air mails the ball into section 46 at the Linc!

Intentional grounding.

That says it all for me. 14 years of experience for that.

A HIGH SCHOOL QB wouldn't make that play.

OY.

First of all he has not taken a team to the Super Bowl twice.

He filled in for Tom Brady due to injury during the AFC championship game and did an ok job by completing 10 of 21 passes for 102 yards 1 TD and no INTs.

That hardly constitutes taking a team to the Super Bowl.

Is he a failure or mediocre? which is it?the point being made is a valid one. Manning struggled yesterday at home against a team we manhandled on the road. Bledsoe struggled yesterday, for sure, and in 2 of the first four games against tough defenses and legit conference championship contenders on the road.

We still almost won. We can crucify Bledsoe all we want, but for better or worse, he's our QB. He may not take us to the Super Bowl but may be able to get us to the playoffs this year and Romo will be ready to take over a team next year with playoff experience.

Because he looks so bad when he has a bad game. Then it was against Philly that just makes it worse.

It is not about yesterday. Look at the mans history. Yesterday is merely a manifestation of what scouts, media, other teams fans and anyone else with an ounce of football knowledge have been saying about Bledsoe for years and years.

Look at the mans track record.

Interesting spin. Wonderin how many of those 4th quarter comeback wins was he responsible for his team needing to come back to win in the first place.

Oh, and by the way, he led ONE team to a Super Bowl and did some decent BACK UP duty in a playoff game, but spin it any way you want.

And, that ONE Super Bowl apperance that he DID have resulted in yet another loss when it mattered most. That's the best Bledsoe has ever been, and his career has been on a slow decline ever since. Unfortunately we are stuck with the worst of Drew Bedsoe.

Thats a lot of come from behind games. Sounds like he is losing in the fourth quarter far too often.

I'm under no illusions with Bledsoe whatsoever. The likely result with him is maybe a second round playoff exit. That, I think, is better than what Romo could do this year. Next Year, Romo's the man IMO.

I think making it to the second round of the play-offs is a little delusional after yesterday's performance. From what I could bare to watch, he was pretty awful. So far we're 2 and 2.. That's not a wildcard.
