I'm going to be buying this series soon and watching it all over again. It's too great a show not to.

I liked the earlier seasons. I liked the later seasons too. The great thing about the show is the mood of the show evolves. Not to spoil it, but it goes from very fun and lighthearted to very dark and depressing. And by the time you're in season 5, even though you're so absorbed in the episode and waiting to see what happens next, you kind of miss "how things used to be" - when things were friendly and fun and sort of happy. Reminds me of real life. You'll find yourself stuck in a dark and miserable environment but then you'll remember that not too long ago things were pretty good (or vice versa). It's amazing that a TV show can invoke those sort of emotions.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, and it won't change mine (or probably anyone else's here) but it's rated 9.6/10 on IMDB with over 500,000 votes, which puts it as one of the highest rated TV shows of all-time. It consistently was either nominated for best drama and/or won best drama. Its actors were nominated for awards every single year, and have multiple wins among them. It's been called (one of) the greatest shows of all time by many publications.
It's all opinions, and yours is as legitimate as any of the others, but the masses would vehemently disagree with you in that it's "average at best."

So you admit in your first sentence you "don't like the show". Why even watch it then? Why make online message board posts about how it is "average at best" if you don't even like it? Most people that don't like something tend to stray away from it. You obviously realize that people like it because of your statement "I don't think you're an idiot bc you love the show."

Funny to see how people are ganging up on GloryDaysRBack.
1. People are asking why he bothered watching the show when he didn't like it. Well, he didn't say he didn't like it. He just said it was average. Nothing wrong with that opinion. In this day of watered down entertainment, even something average can be a good thing. I've scoured the internet looking for new movies that are even average so I can stream and feel like I didn't waste 2 hours of my life.
2. And, for the record, I don't think Breaking Bad was average. I thought it was great. Definitely not on my greatest of all time list, but definitely best show I've seen in a few years. And you can make an argument for average depending on what you're basing it on. Average for a basic cable channel (AMC)? I'd say very above average/borderline-amazing for a basic cable channel considering the garbage that gets passed for good these days. Average for a premium channel (HBO/Showtime)? You could argue yes. I'd rate many HBO/Showtime shows on the same level. Average for an indie show (online)? Depends.

Mind you, this is the same majority population who waste $100 on popcorn and XXX-L soda to bring the family to see Transformers on the weekend. I've read the "rate the latest movie you've seen" thread and the majority of movies you people waste time watching are idiotic (but that's just my opinion).

I didn't say the show was awful. It's not, thats why I specifically said its worth seeing through... I just dont think its as good as advertised... Thats all i said.. I've posted my opinion multiple times in this thread and have never called anyone out or argued w anyone over it... So your claim is completely baseless.. Feel free to go away now

I haven't finished the show yet... All of my buddies keep telling me it's got to get better.. So maybe the end is really good..
They're have been moments where I really liked some episodes, so it's not like I hate the show..
Like the episode where the mexican dudes went to kill hank.. That episode was great..
