I haven't finished the show yet... All of my buddies keep telling me it's got to get better.. So maybe the end is really good..

They're have been moments where I really liked some episodes, so it's not like I hate the show..

Like the episode where the mexican dudes went to kill hank.. That episode was great..

I will tell you this. If you are waiting for it to get good then it's either: not for you or you just made up your mind that it is what it is to you = not much.

You probably won't like the finale. Die hard fans didn't care for it that much. The last couple of episodes before the finale are great!

I have a pretty open mind about it... I watch when I get the chance and again, I don't hate the show.

I love the Wire a little more but not by much. The Wire and BB are 1A and 1B of my favorites shows of all time.

Those last 3 were dang good.

I disagree with some of the above as I LOVED BB and I thought the final 3 episodes of the show were amazing. I absolutely loved the way the show ended.

Definitely one of my all time favorite shows.

Yeah by season 5 you get the fully "changed" Walter. Its dark and very isolated. He is the finished product of the first 4 seasons. Season 5 is the beginning of the end. In every way.

I loved The Wire but it doesn't age very well technology-wise. The first season takes a bit to get rolling, and each season focuses on a different aspect of the system. Some seasons are better than others.
