You can blare Slayer on a big radio. While that will cause bears to avoid you, it will attract people who love good music.

I saw a bobcat cross the street in front of me, about a year ago. Does that count?

Ooh, also saw a pair of lynx chasing each other across the road, back when I was about 12, in Flagstaff, AZ.
