Black Monday Head Coach Thread: Jaguars fire HC Doug Pederson

Jerry is trying to figure out some lame excuses he can use to the fans as to why McCarthy is back. He probably wants to say something dumb like we have a good working relationship and think he the right guy for the job. He's in a new soft rebuilding and we will be a much better team. He'll probably say he should of brought in more FAs to help Mike and Dak.
The Cowboys are complete joke if they don't hire a big name coach to right the ship and get rid of Dak.

I keep checking to see if MM name pops up. The longer this goes on the longer I believe he will be resigned
Well soon he has to say something because McCarthy will be on the market the 14th and there 5 openings probably 2 of them would look at McCarthy.

Technically, there is a head coach opening in Dallas too. I bet none come in for an interview any time soon

man, there are some very funny posts on here tonight. Very good stuff.

Yep. His contract isn’t over until Jan 14th.

It was reported today that the Bears contacted the Cowboys to interview MM.
And McCarthy is supposedly conducting end of season staff and player interviews the next couple of days.

‘Multiple sources emphasized last week that the #Cowboys would struggle to attract a top head coach if they kept Jerry Jones as GM. They faced similar challenges during their last coaching search.’
Right . And I’m not sure they have even pursued an up and coming or highly sought after HC in any of their searches in recent years this era.

LOL.

Great work Giants.

The only time in their incredibly long history to go winless in their division, capped off by their starters getting dominated by Philly's 2nd and THIRD stringers at every position, led not by their backup QB but by Philly's 3rd string QB who'd never started a game before, whose defensive bench players held NY's starting offense to THREE points until the 4th quarter.... THAT team just brought their GM and coach back.

The funny thing is, that coach and GM will draft their next "franchise QB" in an incredibly weak QB class, after not agreesively going after a QB in last year's very strong QB class, That GM and owner then will most assuredly get fired some time in the next year or 2 (considering they'll be horrible for a while longer), and then the new GM and coach will inherit a QB they didn't choose. New GMs and coaches like to hand pick their own QB. So they'll likely start all over AGAIN.

Thet have a bleak future. But, at least they'll have a GM that isn't the senile owner who employs his mentally slow son as the heir apparent, and they won't have Dak as their starter until 2030, so they'll likely be legit again before we are. Oh hum.
