BLACK MONDAY: The Cardinals are not who he thought they were. Dennis Green FIRED

I think the Cards made a mistake in letting Denny go as well. He's really improved the talent on that team, and things were getting better under him. Now they yank the rug out.

There's a reason they're the Cardinals... :D

Rivera is a very fashionable and trendy choice who I think is more overrated because of the performance of the players on the Bear defense.

Singletary on the other hand is who I would hire.

He has passion and truly is a good coach who can motivate.

I would hire him as DC first but not as a HC and if we do will he brings some form of 46 defense with him or we stay 3-4

I was at that game.......I never knew 63,000 people could be that quiet. You could've heard a mouse fart!

Vinny Testaverde for head coach/GM

How about QB coach. BP said Vinnie helped Romo more than anyone else helped him.

Rivera HC
Singletary DC
That's alot of defense, who is the offensive coordinator?

I predict Les Miles as HC and would love Singletary to become DC.

I like Dennis Green, and he improves the quality everywhere he goes...what's Minny done since he left? He was very successful in that small market.

He has taken an awful franchise and built a very respectable offense that's only going to get better next season. I think they made a mistake in letting him go so fast...you're not going to take a franchise that's been a loser and laughing stock for decades and turn it around that fast.

That job will probably look a little more attractive to candidates due to what he's assembled on offense.

Funny Parcells was expected to do so with us.

Mike Matrz is already on his way to Arizona, it smells like his cup of coffee.

First of all, Denny Green is not a good fit for this football team. Bringing him here would be a colossal mistake.

Since this is basically turning into a "next head coach of the Dallas Cowboys" thread, I will reiterate what I said earlier today. Despite the problems on defense, I maintain that this team needs an offensive innovator. Sean Payton would have been ideal, but that's obviously one option gone.

If you bring a Rivera or Singletary in here, you're going to get another coach who wants to run the football, throw only on passing downs, and you'll be relying on your kicker in the fourth quarter.

I'd like to see either Mike Martz or Norm Chow here. I want to see an aggressive offensive team that puts up points on offense and attacks on defense. Just my opinion, of course, and frankly at this point I'd be mildly surprised if Bill steps down.

I think whether BP steps down or not will to a large extent be determined how the team performs vs. the Seahawks.

If we get wiped out, the team doesn't respond, etc., I really don't see BP staying. I'm not sure he can get the team "back" for 2007.

On the other hand, if we somehow manage to beat Seattle on the road, some confidence is restored, and in the following game we put on a solid show, I could see BP back.

But I've got to think that in nearly each scenario the DC will be changed. Maybe not the defensive scheme (i.e., 3-4), but the DC.

So long DG. Best of luck elsewhere. I'm a little torn about it because some of the veterans were saying they wanted him back. My decision had already been made earlier in the year though. After the Raiders loss, it was done deal with me. I just don't like the idea of starting over. Especially with the talent we do have in place.
