I called on Turner, not to resurrect the 90s, but in hopes that we bring in the best offensive coordinator in football.

Not even close dude. Watch San Diego from this season. It looked pretty similar to the crap that Garrett was putting on the field on a weekly basis.

Jason Garrett was terrible today. He had no answer for the Commanders' blitzes and ignored the short passing game like usual. No screens to slow the blitz and no slants to attack the middle of the field.

Just poor job all around by him IMHO.

yup. nuff said.

Question for the group:

Does Garrett not have any screen passes in his playbook or is there some limitation of the talent on this team that prevents him from calling those plays?
Not only this, but the receivers are never clearly open, it seems like every pass /catch is a battle with this offense. A OC with a whole new offense gets my vote

Wasn't a screen pass. Not even close. know the game.

How will we know? the rush was in his face before the O Lineman would have even had a chance to swing out. Why dont you keep an open mind instead of attacking other fans like a miserable schmuck

Jim Johnson figured out that the double A gap would kill the Cowboys 3 years ago. Nothing has changed. Our interior line sucks. We went cheap, and it shows.

Garrett is never going to get this team to a Super Bowl. That's a simple fact with is inability to adjust.

3 something left and they pass the ball after a nice first down and a horrid 1st quarter with inters. RUN THE BALL, DUFAS!!

We opened up the second half running with success. Then we got pass-happy and started punting routinely.

We gave up on the run when there was no reason to and gave up our chance to control the tempo and keep their offense off the field. The Commanders meanwhile stuck with the run - a no-brainer game-plan on a crappy field like that - and had the success we forfeited.

Look, I like Garrett - but as the head coach, not coordinator. We need Norv Turner in here bad. If we had him calling plays tonight we'd be celebrating a victory and awarding the game ball to Demarco Murray.

Bingo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Garrett is an AWFUL OC. How many years does it take for people to see this?

Garrett needs to go. Bottom line, the guy has been in this position too many times to not have his offense prepared to attack the Commanders... Now that Payton is going back to the Saints, who would be your preferred choice to replace Garrett?? It was reported that Holmgren had interest, Andy Reid is still a quality coach in my eyes & a change of scenery might do him pretty good..Gruden is out there?? What do you guys think?

Over the last 19 years Dallas is 2 and 17 in season ending games. The entire org gets blame here, and it starts at the top and rolls downhill.

Andy Reid should be coach.

Yes, I've rebumped it and will continue to until someone can give me a good reason to suggest otherwise.

Enough with Norv Turner. He sucks, I dont care what he did in the 90s.

29th in offensive yardage, 27th in rushing yards, 19th in points (FEWER POINTS THAN US FOLKS) 26th in the redzone (WORSE THAN JASON FOLKS)

Dude is a career loser. You think he is going to sort out Jasons mess? Hell no, he is responsible for a similar mess.

Yup and the whole thing comes down to clinging to mediocrity and thinking the playoffs is around the corner. The last 2 years they've had a shot while the division, in season, was bad. What happened to expecting excellence or 10 or more wins?

And no Norv

Twice we were just on the verge of FG range with a chance to put up points and Garrett played it like we were on our own 20 yard line and had to gain 30 yards. He has no sense of game management at all.

Gruden-Reid-Holmgren will be the 3 big names available if Garrett is canned.. If you don't like that group, then name the coach you'd hire if it was up to you

He's not the same coach after numerous personal tragedies?

The process still needs time to change that part of the culture. :banghead:

No to Holmgren, yes to either Reid or Gruden.

At least Gruden has some fire. Garrett looks like he's thinking if he flushed the toilet or not half the time on the sidelines.
