Lewis is nursing a hamstring.

May not be 100% for 1st game.

I read he will be ready for Week 1, but since it is the Cowboys that could mean he will mist 2-3 weeks.

Brady was a 6th round pick himself. Bland very well could get some playing time. He would be the first man up if needed.
Can't argue with that, but are you anticipating Lewis or AB being unable to play or are you looking to leapfrog them?

Absolutely right . For all the dumb penalties Wright is racking up I see him out there trying . And he had a pick . Joseph is either dinged up or getting tossed from games . Give me Bland and Wright as depth .

Joseph is a classic example of a “ reach need pick “. Denver took Surtain and Carolina took the other CB Dallas was interested in Horn , so round 2 it was who’s the highest CB left on the board instead of who’s the best player left on the board .
Wright had a pick game 1 too. Pass int was tricky tack. He actually makes corner back plays unlike fake tough Joseph

I admit Bland has looked good but the starting CBs are Diggs, Lewis and Brown. Bland will get his reps, probably at the expense of Wright and Joseph. But there is no way they start him over the 3 guys from last season. It will be interesting to see who get the start if Lewis is unable to play week 1.

I think Joseph would get the first chance based on his play in limited reps last year. The problem for any rookie is that the speed of the game goes up another notch in the regular season. I like what we've seen of Bland, but there's really no reason to throw him into the fire unless the players will more experience show they can't handle it.

He'll see plenty of time in the nickel and dime packages but Jordan Lewis is the starter there.

I am rooting for Joseph to straighten up and become a good player. He has the physical talent. But after he got hurt early in the 1st quarter Friday against Seattle, I wonder if he is going to be injury prone. He seems to get dinged up quite a bit.

If Bland can make a case for the job against regular starters, he should absolutely receive more playing time, but I see no reason to jump the gun. There are some really wonderful players ahead of him on the depth chart and a couple of them have contracts expiring soon. Let the kid learn, gets some opportunities in sub-packages, and fill in if there's an injury. His time will come.

He's been playing good, but against starters he looks like he needs to mature a bit. Good problem to have.

Love the reaction and tackling.

I love the kid. The really good players show out from day #1. Just like Parsons, Lamb, Diggs, Dak, ect....ect.....

And you can see in his coverage technique that he is doing it all very aware of not committing PI. Thats impressive. Where a guy like Thomas knows he has to cheat and just rolls the dice on if he gets caught.

To me, he looks like he's really made an argument for CB4 on this roster. Not 2 or 3. Not yet.
