Pretty funny stuff. I am suprised I didnt have a post in there somewhere. I have been calling ware our best player since the first preseason game he played.

He simply jumps off the screen how good he is. It was evident from day 1.

throw in merrimans steroids and I dont think there is a debate.

it was pretty interesting to see inman completely bagging on ware and vintage bagging on ware, while he now has him in his avatar!!!!

Maybe discussed-

I heard Parcells thought Merriman would be better right away but in the long run Ware would be all time. He said that initially he was thinking Merriman, but met him at the combine and didnt like him, thought he was a "jerk".

I find stuff like that interesting. Like last year in the war room,
there seemed to be at least a little discussion going on, and finally Jerry blurts out "Lets go Jones, Felix Jones"

....or when it was revealed we had Brian Westbrook off our draft board

Parcells still wanted to draft merriman. Stephen essentially talked him out of it because his agent was the postons. They knew there was no way he would sign in time and once parcells realized he would miss some time he agreed to ware.

I can be wrong.

Never claimed otherwise.

And in my defense, Merriman's sacks per game > Ware's sacks per game.

Its not like Merriman turned out to be a bust.

If healthy its one of those you cant go wrong with either. Merriman had 17 sacks in 12 games while Ware had 20 in 16. I know Merriman was juicing at some point but even without it he still proved he could rush the passer. His knee injury looks bad.

I disagree...People were caught up in the sacks, but ware could always do everything that merriman was doing, and more. Merriman looked better surfacely because of sack numbers (partially do to that was his only assignment) but wares numbers would have been way up to if he was assigned to rush 95% if the time. Ware is and always was the more complete football player....Ware plays the run better, the flats better, covers better, and his rush technique is better.

Merriman is going to have a shorter career, he got so roided up that it had to take a toll on his body. Already suffered a career threatening knee injury.

We got it right in 2005, and we'll still have it right in 2015.

If you're making the case that Wade is a phenomenal defensive coordinator, I think you'll find very few opponents.
