Blast from the past- Merriman vs Ware!!

I heard Parcells thought Merriman would be better right away but in the long run Ware would be all time. He said that initially he was thinking Merriman, but met him at the combine and didnt like him, thought he was a "jerk".

I find stuff like that interesting. Like last year in the war room,
there seemed to be at least a little discussion going on, and finally Jerry blurts out "Lets go Jones, Felix Jones"

....or when it was revealed we had Brian Westbrook off our draft board

Parcells using the word jerk to describe a player is just funny to me... infact its so funny i dont believe it!

I would be happy if we drafted Merriman over Ware. the only thing about Merriman is he tore his knee up. I still think he's just as good as Ware if not better. plus I love how when he sacks a qb he makes them feel it with a big hit. I'm still waiting on D-Ware to stop gently laying down qbs when he sacks them though that one on Peyton was nice.

And in my defense, Merriman's sacks per game > Ware's sacks per game.

Its not like Merriman turned out to be a bust.

the only thing about Shawn is he tore his knee up. the steroids thing doesn't bother me cause most of these players are on steroids. other than that there isn't much of a difference between him and Ware. Merriman is more physical and Ware is more finesse
