This needs to be said because it's constantly getting ignored. When you have a stubborn mule of a player, Parcells seems to be able to get them to do their best. Guys like Keyshawn, whom a good coach (Gruden) couldn't handle, becomes a relative *****cat in the hands of Parcells. I have this feeling Bledsoe BETTER play the game the way Parcells wants or Romo and/or Henson will be getting some bus drivah time.

Having said that I expect a couple things:

1) A faster release from Bledsoe than in the past.
2) A more heady game from Bledsoe than in the past.
or
3) We'll have a coach who has the best conditioned QB cum waterboy in the league.

Wanna getaway?

Let's see:
- A QB that can stretch the field and played pretty well in Super Bowl XXXI).
Ok i do not see this part

Bledsoe SuperBowl stats 4 int's thats right and I still remember two of them where when he tried to force it long and he threw it inside instead of towards the sideline so only his wr could get it or it just be an incomplete pass.

So 52% compeletion % yep great superbowl stat there and 4int's

48 25 253 2 4 Everyone keeps calling Bledsoe this great long ball passer but his YPA for his career is a 6.58. yet we see West Coast QB's with better YPA

Everyonr keeps telling me how great he is yet his numbers keep coming up well average. Sorry I just can not put faith into Bledsoe as the QB

I'm giving Bledsoe a clean slate. It's up to him from here on out what my opinion of him becomes.

Your welcome. It was a little tongue and cheek. When Henson was forced to pick a new number because Hutchinson has the number 7, he chose 11. Many people speculated that it was because Parcells two best QB's ever, Simms and Bledsoe, wore that number, and he wanted to make that impression. When Hutchinson was released, the number 7 became available, and it was offered to Henson (rumor has it, by Parcells through the equipment MGR). Conspiracy theorists can have field day with this one.

There is an amatuer film of Parcells and Bledsoe discussing it on the grassy knoll by the book suppository building. Back and to the left, back and to the left . . .
:abuseme:
(please forgive the movie lines)

I think that is the fair way to judge him.

OK at first I was going to bash him without reasons, but I take it that Dallas fans haven't really seen a lot of Bills games over the last 3 seasons. Here's a few reasons why he failed in NE and Buffalo and why he will fail in Dallas.

*Bledsoe's #1 fault is that he just doesn't study the game enough. He thinks that his natural abilities are all he needs. Why else can't he read defenses after 10+ years in the league? Teams blitzed the hell out of us in key situations and it rattled him time after time after time. EVERY single time it was crucial for him to beat a good team, he fell flat on his face.

*He can't hit the short pass to save his life. He doesn't seem to understand that a wr or rb that is 5 yards away, needs a lead pass and not a bullet pass. This happened so many times last season and exclusively in the Pittsburgh game.

*He isn't a leader. A leader gets in his teammate's faces and pumps them up. A leader questions his OL to give him some more time (even though he held onto the ball too long). Not once in my 3 years of watching him qb this team did he once show any emotion on the sidelines.

*2 years ago against the Houston Texans, it was 4th and short and late in the game with the Bills losing. The ball is snapped, Drew looks around and is flushed from the pocket. What does he do? He throws the ball away. After the game reporters asked him why he threw it away on 4th down. His response, "I didn't know what down it was, I thought it was 3rd down." Now what kind of a qb doesn't know the yardage and down situation at home?

And when JJ hires you as the coach, your opinion might actually count. Until then, I'll trust Parcells to do what is right for our "Boys.

Well, point one and the laziness I will not try to argue. That rap plagued him in NE as well. Over time tho, you become convinced it's more natural limitations than obstinance.

Point two, he's been hitting them in practice here...or so reports lead one to believe. There are far worse than Bledsoe when it comes to touch. Far worse.

Point three, agreed Drew is no Brett Favre. But following even 'quieter' Vinny, and callow Quincy, he will seem like it.

Point four. Every once in a blue moon, you read about that happening. For all the snaps the man has taken in his career, a lapse or two about the down is not surprising. You sure don't want to see it on a weekly basis, but to me that incident in Houston reflects nothing more than a little brain bubble.

Then no one here can say a dam thing about what any player or coach does good or bad period. Since we are no longer allowed to think for ourselves lets close down the forum because whats the point. In fact since no one views but Parcells matters why are you even posting on this forum.

Oh wait that only counts for me because I am bashing Bledsoe or have concerns about him. Wait I disagree and laid out my argument but I have no right to state it because I do not get paid by JJ. Just because he is Bill does not mean he made the correct decision.

Sorry cowchips that is always the weakest argument; well when you get paid for it bla bla bla.
