It sounds more like a handy excuse for rationalizing that Bledsoe was only .2 better than Vinny last year even though Bledsoe had the better running game, better receivers and a defense and special teams that not only kept giving superior field position but put a ton of points on the board to assist the offense.

Well, I hope they have other career options. The switch from Bledsoe to Losman will take them from 8-8 to lucky to be 5-11. That's going to be one bad team this year.

Fact - Bills averaged same YPC running last year as Dallas.

At every juncture in the league when a QB suffers a great many sacks it is placed on the doorstep of the OL. In every case except for Bledsoe; there is just something wrong with that IMO. It is the OL's job to give the man time and if they don't he gets sacked a lot; it's always been that way and it always will...except in Bledsoe's case I guess.

Is it the OL fault that Bledsoe can't read the blitz or buy some time with his legs? Buffalo has hardly had the worse offensive line in football these last couple of years, yet he's been sacked more than anybody. It seems that Buffalo's run game blocking seems to be doing okay.

Would have the playoffs in game 16 if Bledsoe had at least been a 'bus driver' on that day. He even said it himself. 'If we can't beat their backups on our own field, we don't deserve to be in the playoffs'. This is just a premonition of what's to come.

When I said "Won't happen though", I meant this camp... this year.

I do think Henson has a chance to become a franchise QB, I just don't think it'll happen in 2005.

My viewpoint will be different a year from now. I'll be expecting Henson to put forth a fight in training camp to win the starting job.

Franschise qb. Pleeez! He can't even beat an udfa in Romo and Romo couldn't beat out Hutch and Hutch couldn't beat out you know who.

No doubt, the Bills had a good defense, for the most part. They did give up the following:

31 at home against the Patriots
29 at New England
32 at Miami
29 at home against Pittsburgh

Three or which were losses. Good, but not real consistent considering the games were spread out throughout the season (Oct 3, Nov 14, Dec 5, Jan 2)


But to say they didn't have a bad offensive line is just plain incorrect.

And in the games in which they scored lots of points, the defense created turnovers with short fields and scored points themselves, including the Pittsburgh game. In the Pittsburgh game, Magahee scored twice and their defense score once and Bledsoe scored 0 points thru the air. In the playoffs after the 2003 season, Hambrick had 20 yards rushing and 0 touchdowns and Richie Anderson fumbled at the Panther 5 yard line and A. Bryant stood there watching instead of falling on the ball and Galloway and Glenn were run down from behind after making receptions and Dallas' number one defense was taken to the woodshed, while their 'bus driver qb' scored the only td and threw just one int with 5 minutes left in the game when they were trailing by 19 points. Somehow Carter took the brunt of the criticism and you make every excuse for a qb who has 12 year career and a good supporting cast and can't make the playoffs in 3 years, losing even to our so called 'pathetic bus driver qb'. If QC is pathetic, what does that make Bledsoe for losing to him?
