Kartr,

Let's wait and see what Bledsoe does here before savaging him now.

He may turn out to play up to Pro Bowl level here, for all we know.

OK, I'll go along with that but if it "won't happen though" we better get off our rear ends and get a young QB in here and start grooming him.

And the sooner, the better. BOOMER SOONER!
One fantasy publication I had the Cowboys qb's as ranking 29th.

Sorry there BW but there were many in the organization that did blame Bledsoe for the loss.

Right. It was all over the papers there.

I keep hearing this that the Bills o-line last year was a collection of turds... what proof of this do we have?

It sounds more like a handy excuse for rationalizing that Bledsoe was only .2 better than Vinny last year even though Bledsoe had the better running game, better receivers and a defense and special teams that not only kept giving superior field position but put a ton of points on the board to assist the offense.

Don't confuse them with facts.

Well, I hope they have other career options. The switch from Bledsoe to Losman will take them from 8-8 to lucky to be 5-11. That's going to be one bad team this year.

Running qb's dont usually have as many weapons as pocket qbs, except for Montana,Elway and Young. How many superbowls did Marino win? How many have does Manning have?
Who's the better runner out of Farve and Bledsoe? Farve and he beat Bledsoe.
Who's the better runner out of Farve and Elway? Elway, and he Farve.
Who's the better runner out of Brady and McNabb? McNabb, But Brady had the better defense and running game. Give McNabb a feature running back and a defense that shows up in the big show, and he'll walk all over Brady, who hasn't been sacked in three years.

What if you gave Manning a defense that shows up in the big show?

Fact Buffalo's Offensive line has been heinous last few years. Anyone that watches the Bills knows that.

Fact - Bills averaged same YPC running last year as Dallas.

Fact is VT didn't win when JJ played.

Fact - Bledsoe won more games than VT.

Fact - VT threw more interceptions than TD's Bledsoe threw more TD's than interceptions.

Fact - VT leads NFL in career interceptions.

Fact - Bledsoe is our starter abnd VT is unemployed

Don't let that get in the way.

At every juncture in the league when a QB suffers a great many sacks it is placed on the doorstep of the OL. In every case except for Bledsoe; there is just something wrong with that IMO. It is the OL's job to give the man time and if they don't he gets sacked a lot; it's always been that way and it always will...except in Bledsoe's case I guess.

Come on Mikey

Is it the OL fault that Bledsoe can't read the blitz or buy some time with his legs? Buffalo has hardly had the worse offensive line in football these last couple of years, yet he's been sacked more than anybody. It seems that Buffalo's run game blocking seems to be doing okay.

Nors, why must you always make it about VINNY?

Kartr is maintaining Q was the man.

Is this the same defense that let Leftwich drive the team down the field and score on the last play of the game. Guess that was Bledsoes fault. Would have made the playoffs with that win

Would have the playoffs in game 16 if Bledsoe had at least been a 'bus driver' on that day. He even said it himself. 'If we can't beat their backups on our own field, we don't deserve to be in the playoffs'. This is just a premonition of what's to come.

When I said "Won't happen though", I meant this camp... this year.

I do think Henson has a chance to become a franchise QB, I just don't think it'll happen in 2005.

My viewpoint will be different a year from now. I'll be expecting Henson to put forth a fight in training camp to win the starting job.

Franschise qb. Pleeez! He can't even beat an udfa in Romo and Romo couldn't beat out Hutch and Hutch couldn't beat out you know who.

No doubt, the Bills had a good defense, for the most part. They did give up the following:

31 at home against the Patriots
29 at New England
32 at Miami
29 at home against Pittsburgh

Three or which were losses. Good, but not real consistent considering the games were spread out throughout the season (Oct 3, Nov 14, Dec 5, Jan 2)

But to say they didn't have a bad offensive line is just plain incorrect.

And in the games in which they scored lots of points, the defense created turnovers with short fields and scored points themselves, including the Pittsburgh game. In the Pittsburgh game, Magahee scored twice and their defense score once and Bledsoe scored 0 points thru the air. In the playoffs after the 2003 season, Hambrick had 20 yards rushing and 0 touchdowns and Richie Anderson fumbled at the Panther 5 yard line and A. Bryant stood there watching instead of falling on the ball and Galloway and Glenn were run down from behind after making receptions and Dallas' number one defense was taken to the woodshed, while their 'bus driver qb' scored the only td and threw just one int with 5 minutes left in the game when they were trailing by 19 points. Somehow Carter took the brunt of the criticism and you make every excuse for a qb who has 12 year career and a good supporting cast and can't make the playoffs in 3 years, losing even to our so called 'pathetic bus driver qb'. If QC is pathetic, what does that make Bledsoe for losing to him?

I need some advice.

What exactly can kill the ghost of Quincy Carter?

"Holy Water?"

"Garlic?"

"Crucifix?"

"Roseanne singing the national anthem?"

Somebody tell me because Carter just can't seem to die off in the minds of some Cowboy fans.

Maybe his endurance is intertwined somehow with locoweed...

How so..all I see is Kartr savaging your boy post after post and you letting it pass.

But hey, I don't want to agitate....best to let it go, at that.

It ain't like it's gonna make a dent.
