If Bledsoe really has a complaint, it should be against Bill Parcells.
IMO, the biggest deficiency that Bledsoe had was he was gifted with incredible arm talent. This became a barrier for him when making decisions under fire and pressure.

Tehre was never a throwing window, no matter how small and risky, that Bledsoe never thought he could hit. There was never an eye of a needle he couldn't thread.

Parcells knew what he was getting when he brought Drew over. Eventually Drew was going to be Drew, and when it became unbearable to the coaches and the locker room he was going to replace him.

Drew knew this, for some reason he couldn't handle this. Possibly couldn't handle the fact that he was unable to overcome his personal weakness - never learning how to be a smart NFL QB as opposed to just another big time arm.

But does he have to have a massive ego in the locker room? It one thing to be confident. It's another to be an a-hole - a celebrity one at that.

If there is one thing I would give to Dak is he is relatively quiet about his personal life and exudes the type of public and private leadership you want from your #1.
I never saw anything from Tony, esp about his private life or publicly, that he was flaunting.

In fact, I know people that know Tony personally and said he is pretty reserved and quiet outside of sports.

Theres plenty of this type of info: https://www.espn.com/nfl/news/story?id=3582641

The complaints come from jealousy. Everyone that isnt doing their job or jealous is going to complain to try and take a guy out.

Romo wished he was as accomplished as Bledsoe was as an NFL QB.

And Bledsoe seems spot on with Romo. He didn't take it seriously and did nothing to try and get better and was absolutely not a leader. Romo was in Mexico withy no worries in the world during our playoff run in 2007. He liked being a celeb much more than actually playing football.
haters are going to hate to steal a term from one that uses it so often

I never said he didn't have an ego. In the end he failed to get it done. What I don't do is pull up one failed QB to prop up another failed QB after the fact to deflect from the inadequacies of the second one. One thing Romo did that Dak never could? Elevate those around him. Dak needs everyone playing at a high level at all times to excel. Either way, neither could get it done though. If Dak would just get the mental issues holding him back taken care of, he might change that.
Again i like both Dak and Romo but i gotta ask..What did Romo elevate the players around him to? The same exit as Dak and his players?..make that make sense....

I have noted that jealousy of someone elses success is a very common thing
I do not hate Dak; he is a good QB who is overpaid which is not his fault
Tony was a good QB that was probably overpaid as well but once again not his fault
Bledsoe had a number of chances to win big and he did not make the most of them like most QBs
The amount of money in the game now sours so many people, understandably

He made a couple of WRs get serious money.
what did he elevate those WR too while they were here? Again i get you like Romo's stats better than Dak's (its oddly strange but ok) but if he is elevating the players around him to new heights what where those heights as a team?

I don't think Bledsoe ever enjoyed much popularity and Romo enjoys mega-popularity so ...
True, doesn’t mean his comments were fueled by jealousy…..he might be 1000% correct Romo got a big head and didn’t stay as hungry as Brady.

Well, I understand why someone wouldn't be asking advice from the guy who was benched.
Well, there are many athletes that are very cerebral about the game but not have or no longer have the physical tools to do it.

And he might be 1000% full of BS for obvious reasons. Romo was constantly working hard to get better and he did, that was his mantra despite what sour grapes Bledsuk says...

For some throwback news

--------------------------------------------------------
13. Speaking of Brady, if you didn’t know, his former Patriots teammate, Drew Bledsoe, apparently greatly preferred backing up TB12 to former Cowboys star Tony Romo, who now broadcasts for network rival CBS. But now, we definitively know. "Romo, you know this is true,” Bledsoe said on a feature during ESPN’s “Sunday NFL Countdown.” “The minute that he became the starter, he became pretty big in his own mind. He was no longer the curious, inquisitive guy. That was the difference between him and Tommy. … All of a sudden Romo was the guy that had all the answers."

It's amazing how overrated Tony Romo was he never got over the hump but he was one of the greatest chokers I've ever seen at the position.
