Who is gonna be Rivera's replacement? Anybody know?

Will Kosier shift over to the RG position while Proctor takes the LG position?

I thought Proctor played both RG and LG. It would be nice if he could develop and eventually take over for Rivera. I think this year is Rivera's last year, which is why I don't think Peterman will get cut either. We'll need Peterman for depth because all we have behind Cosier and Rivera is Proctor. Other than that we also have Gurode, but not while he's playing Center, and it seems he's taking over for Al Johnson (who cannot play Guard).

Witten on Total Access tonight was asked about the most overlooked area of the team and he said the improvement of the OL.

I'm feeling good about the future of this OL.

LT: Flozell Adams, McQuistan/Petitti in the wings
LG: Kyle Kosier, Proctor can play here
C: Andre Gurode, Al Johnson
RG: Marco Rivera, Proctor in the wings
RT: Colombo, Petitti

Alot of these guys I see starting are having good camps..

Bill can always move Kosier to play RT if he has to and Proctor or Gurode could start at LG.

We all have read media reports how the OLinemen are struggling. Well there's a quote in the latest DC.com article where Bledsoe sheds some light on this and indicates (indirectly) that the OL may be better than we think.

Here's the quote:
Bledsoe: "We've been doing a better job in the running game. The thing that we have to do is we have got to get a cohesive unit in our offensive line and get those guys going so that we can be consistent in our pass protection, consistent in our run game with those games.''

That's just it! The OLinemen are struggling because up to now it's never the same 5 guys; it's never the same OL unit. Parcells has been on a mission to experiment which is what's contributing to the OLinemen looking worse than what they can be. I'm not against Parcells' OL experimentation because I think that's what camp is for and you need to find out what guys can do under different scenarios. But now that camp is over, it's time to get the final, starting 5 guys out there so that they can work on continuity with the offensive backfiled. Bledsoe is right and I have a feeling - or at least I hope -that the starting OL will be very good as that continuity settles in. Hopefully that begins in New Orleans on Monday night.

The Bledsoe is a true gridiron commander, hopefully the oline continues to improve because The Answer is excited to see what Drew does in his first preseason game on monday. Even in meaningless exibition play, with a watered down playbook #11 is capable of doing some serious damage!
