Agree with most of what you say except for the timing will be dialed up, not down, it has to be in order for MMs TCO scheme to be successful.
This offense hasn't exactly been known for well timed and executed screen plays.
They have shown improvement, but nowhere near the level of execution that you have to have in order to run a shorter/intermediate passing game.
Hitting quick slants and setting up screens is all about timing.

It worked perfectly actually. Problem was the stupid ref was taking his sweet @ZZ time getting down the field. The ENTIRE Cowboys team is sitting there over the ball for 3 seconds before the ref even gets into the screen. Then he comes barreling in. 100% the fault of the ref.

If we want to put the blame on the ref, go ahead but you are wrong to call him stupid. How stupid is a QB who doesn't know the ref needs to touch the ball and put it in play?

This is ridiculous. What does it matter how many QB threads there are? Does it bother some kind of OCD you have? It is irrelevant and has nothing to do with the "health" of this site which is by far and away the top Cowboys discussion forum. There isn't another that even touches this one when it comes to fans and activity so get real with that fake black pill you are trying to give people because you don't call the shots.

Sportswriters in general are just different versions of TV “journalists” who report the nightly “news”—models supporting an agenda, and/or opportunists manufacturing drama or presenting ridiculous bias to instigate clicks for personal gain. Inconsistent integrity and little factual evidence, just snarky opinions to incite the masses. On top of that, they’re insulated. They say whatever they want and get away with it, just as long as they don’t contradict their masters’ agenda and keep the click$ coming.

ESPN is different, being owned by Disney, which is now a foreign company. Their rules are different.
