BLOCKBUSTER Coming?

Was reading on SI.com about half hour ago... and got me to thinking...
There was a mention that the Saints are actively shopping the #2 pick, since they just signed Brees and therefore don't need a QB... I know it would take a ton to move up there, but that's the Leinart spot.
Keyshawn, Allen, our #18 and a second day pick next year?

Talk about overreacting. You hear report there activity at VR & connect it with TO cut and go off half cocked. How about there activity at VR cause its Tuesday and there is supposed to be some work getting done.

I think we keep Key and give him his bonus. I don't think we signing TO & doubt much changing over next day or so.

Maybe Cowboys have gotten the word that all those teams who haven't done much so far in FA are now come out of their caves where they been hiding since FA began--at least that is where Raphael Vela said in his blog that they doing.

I keep getting the feeling that a BLOCKBUSTER move is right around the corner for us Cowboy's fans. Something much BIGGER than here-to-fore imagined....

We have been "strangely silent" so far in Free Agency. The 'Boys have a ton of money in the vault at Valley Ranch, yet we keep hearing "whispers" about more cost-cutting moves (like letting Larry Allen and Keyshawn Johnson go).

While Jerry constantly watches his money, THIS IS NOT TYPICAL!!

Could it be that the 'Boys have a "master plan" in mind, but are waiting to "pull the trigger" when the time is right?

Are they trying to save every cent they can in order to "drop a bomb" on our opponents?

I'm not saying that this is ANYBODY's plan, but just an example of what might be lurking around the corner:

Example:

We sign T.O.

Then we sign Vinateri (having had an "understanding" with Rosenhaus...)

Then, we make a few top-dollar, big name signings to fill some holes.

THEN....we announce that we have made a TRADE for one of the top 4 draft picks.

We then go after a more mobile quarterback (which lessens the pressure on revamping the O-line).

Jerry's saying that we were going to be "aggressive" in Free Agency still might come true, only in a different form that anyone expected.

I think that Bill still wants that last trophy before retiring. He wants to go out on top.

Perhaps he has seen the "hand-writing on the wall" for this team as it now stands and is willing to make some drastic moves to alter the course. Sort of an all-or-nothing kind of deal.

This would be right up Jerry's alley. He would agree to it in a heartbeat. It would make the biggest "splash" this year in football.

There is WAY TOO MUCH MONEY sitting at Valley Ranch for us to be this inactive. It is also WAY TOO QUIET. I say something is in the works.

Maybe they're just waiting for the right exact moment to "unleash the dogs" on the rest of the NFL........
Maybe not either.

2004 was quiet, but looking back at who Dallas had in their sights, that isn't really a bad thing in hindsight.

Other than Berry, who did Dallas really miss out on? Guys like Winfield have been major disappointments.
I was thinking about that earlier who did we miss out on I would agree with Berry but would he have fit in the 3/4 and I would take Henry over Springs and Winfeild. Who else was available?

We need a WR and it will be a sales bonanza for Jerry it seems like a done deal. JJ loves wants to win but even more he wants to sell his Cowboys product and with the buzz at this board alone it seems like a natural fit.

Ladies and gentlemen, your blockbuster is almost here.

The BLOCKBUSTER news may be that none of the speculations comes true. We can't get the FA we targeted and we're done with FA. Ouch!

Im a hardcore UT fan so i wasnt really sold on how "great" Lienard actually is seeing as he had the best line in college. That doesnt mean i wouldnt be all for going up and getting him cuz he would be a HUGE upgrade over both of our backups combined. We could have our next Troy in him as well. I like that situation

Why so certain littlewebs?

I think Key's release clearly shows Jerry is going after "he who we don't speak of" no matter what the cost. I just don't see Terry Glenn and Patrick Crayton as the starting wideouts.

Yeah. T.O.'s **** and our ***!!!
When you get tomorrow's newspaper, be sure to put it on the floor......so you can BEND OVER when you read it!

Bumping this thread up....i'm starting to get the feeling something big is cooking at the ranch too. It's an erie feeling right now....

As of this moment we are hung out to dry with WR....something is up big time...and I hope it ain't TO.

Well, if there a blockbuster it's not happening today. We've sign 2 rpt 2 FAs & failed resign Campbell (okay with that), cut Keyshawn (why & who his replacement?) and their some talk LA won't be back (okay, if there good replacement for him) but if we going to get better, the point is we must add good players. Geez.
