Blocking scheme and OL’s mediocre run blocking is the main problem in run game, not RB’s!

Watching the SF game against Philly was interesting. SF really ran well.

They didn't do the pulling guards thing or draw out of the shotgun. Most of their run success was simple single back action quick hitters with 1 on 1 blocking.

IMO, Dallas' slow developing run scheme is killing them.

Polarization is completely unnecessary here. It's both.

That was one of the most amazing things about Emmitt; he was NOT that fast at all yet how often did he get run down from behind?
Quite a bit. Emmit had a low number of long runs in his career. Which is fine, as he was an absolute beast in what he was good at, getting positive yardage. He was so quick to and through the LOS it was ridiculous. No reason to claim he had long speed, he didnt'.

He just had that knack to avoid the tackles. I read Jimmy's autobiography Swagger not too long ago and he went into it a bit. Herschel was the genetic freak athlete body, but he wanted a guy like Emmitt who had the natural skillset to avoid tackles. All the speed and strength doesn't do much good against NFL Tacklers unless you're Earl Campbell.
