The Cowboys never say die thanks to a deep roster full of strong contributors

The Cowboys have done a great job of managing injuries this season

Not long ago the Dallas Cowboys were a team many people were laughing at. Losing seven of their first ten games, the team was heading into a dark place that would likely result in a high draft pick and a coaching staff overhaul in the offseason.

Well, times have changed.

The Cowboys are winning now, pulling out victories in four of their last five games. Although they were officially eliminated from the playoff contention on Sunday, the mood has shifted thanks to some good football and the incredible resolve the team has shown recently.

What is impressive about this recent stretch is how the team has persevered despite being struck hard with injuries. This year has been brutal as it hit them early and often and many of their top stars have suffered season-ending injuries. But even with all the setbacks, the Cowboys have been able to play well thanks to the depth of talent on this roster. Today, we’ll examine how each position group has been affected and draw attention to the players who have stepped up and given us something to cheer about down the stretch..

To keep MM as head coach, possibly, should be considered predictable on the part of JJ. His, "all in", words of genius and motivational tact, ring hallow as usual. Don't get me wrong, I think MM is a good coach, what I am saying is, JJ is a terrible owner. He didn't mean "all in", he meant "all him".

With them playing so well right now, it seems likely that they bring McCarthy back.

IM much much less concerned about bringing back McCarthy( dude won the Super Bowl with good players around him!) than the players we currently have.
We need serious up grade at DT, Lb and Ol.
Bring that in and I dont think McCarthy is an huge problem

They just need to hit in the draft and free agency. At least they get to pick higher than usual and have more money to spend than they normally do.

They beat the Giants and Panthers, two of the worst teams in the league, and the Commanders and Bucs, a pair of middling teams.

Our playoff problems aren’t suddenly solved with wins of that nature, nor by retaining Mike, but it’s not as if Jerry is going to do any better.

Mike is capable of a deep playoff run but the front office needs to cooperate…and we all know the odds on that.

Jerry will continue to successfully sell his perpetual mediocrity.

If you're looking for hope for next year just imagine this amazing roster with another great draft class. It should ease any concerns.

I’ve always liked Mike. Having said that however the offensive staff needs a shakeup. Oline Coach, WR coach, etc. We blame the Oline coach a lot but the WR coach has really developed no one.

I firmly believe we‘ll be all in again, much like last year and much like the insufferable 10 years of Jason Garrett. I expect much of the same, which in turn means I have no expectations.

The thing is if Rush prepared the whole season I think we win 2 of the Falcons, 49ers and Bengals games

The future depends on the draft. Picking much higher this year helps.

Nice breakdown.

I always hope there's someone who reminds people the team was bad before the injuries and its no excuse, but Jerry and Stephen will lean on the injury heavy in the offseason.
