boats notes - Maliek Collins

Extremely happy for Dallas selecting DT in a deep draft at the position it was a smart choice to take DL twice, Tapper has the quick-twitch ability but still very raw. Certainly will be fun and interesting to see how the careers of Collins and Tapper play out when compared to Lawrence and Gregory.

Collins 3rd round and Tapper 4th respectively may end up with better careers than the two other 2nd round choices.

As a Dallas fan that Soap Boxed a "Trench Game" for years, hopefully they all see the field and excel together, it's truly an exciting time in the trenches on both sides of the ball.

Go Cowboys!

I dont think weed makes any mental disorder better. I have alot of friends that suffer from depression and PTSD and they use pot to medicate themselves. I think they sell themselves on it because thats what they want to believe, and I guess you get a bit of a placebo effect. I suffer from both these as well, and smoking pot has a horrible effect on me sometimes

Doctors recommend it for PTSD and depression. The issue with bipolar is how it interacts with manic episodes as opposed to the other two which don't have that same state generally speaking.

I could just as easily say that your position is what you want to believe. The drug war and it's stupid scheduling paradigm makes it difficult to know anything scientifically.

The DEA finally is permitting a study on it as of April.

Have you considered that people don't all think in terms of fault and blame or the need for excuses in the first place? That is all you.

i was responding to someone who originally said, "Gregory's demise is overblown". and when i did, i got the Von Miller excuse.

And then you talked about excuses. When you talk about excuses then you are essentially laying blame because absent that there is no need for an excuse.

Von Miller isn't an excuse. It is an empirical example of a pass rusher in a similar circumstance who succeeded. An excuse would imply some sort of exoneration for Gregory's behavior in and of itself.

With Gregory, I think it is plan for the worst but hope for the best...

ah i see your point, hopefully Gregory can see that as an example, but i still think Gregory's days in the NFL are numbered (opinion) and before i get a snarky response to that, i would say the next time he is tested.

fair enough. I don't know enough about his circumstance to have an opinion. I'm content to wait and see.

I'm pretty sure he's getting tested all the time.
