I think this is why there have been rumblings that Kraft is pissed about these things. He doesn't like the image that's out there right now.

I swear, it won't shock me if they take soemone out if he keeps it up.

Exactly, Hos. This entire situation may be headed for a disastrous climax.

The issue here is one of respect and perceptions of being disrespected. There's a fine line between beating a person and disrespecting that person. You should always show respect to your opponent, even when you clearly overmatch him or her.

Of course, people will argue that it's more disrespectful if a team let's up on its opponent, kneels down on the one yard line rather than scoring, etc, etc. And although those argument are perfectly valid, they simply don't apply in the NFL, where running up the score is a sign of disrespect.

I have been saying this from day one. No one will take that crap lying down, so if Belicheat wants to continue to put Brady in harms way he better be prepared for the inevitable consequences. Also, I am willing to bet that Bob Sanders is not the only one with those sentiments.
You know he isn't. He may be the only one saying something publicly but in the locker rooms you and I both know guys are venting. Eventually someone will uncork.

Then maybe the league needs to put in the rule that they have in little league baseball the 10 run rule where if one team is up by 10 or more point’s game is over.

Even if the target is not Brady or Moss, is it worth it?

It wouldn't be to me if I was the coach. I may not like the Patriots but I do NOT want to see one of their players pay for the philosophies of the Head Coach.

Oh good, let's take this to the point of ridiculous when it doesn't need to go there.

Showing off in the endzone has caused more fights in the NFL but players still do it and the talk of revenge does not mean jack. Right now the Pat players are reading how Sanders is going to cheap shot their QB you don't think they are saying Manning is a dead man? Colts have 1 thing they need to do and that is go out and play don't tell me this BS about what you will do if your getting you tailed kicked.

It may be "BS." It may be a "cheap shot." I'm not arguing those points. My only contention here this: Belichik's seeming disregard for league etiquitte is creating a contentious situation in which grevious injuries are more likely.

Why not, the losing team is saying we can continue to pass the ball and try to score and use our timeouts but the winning team has to pull out it's starter and just run the ball? If you don't want to get beat then play better. When the Pats beat us the only thing I was upset about is the mistake we made that cost us a chance at winning. Pats did their job we failed to do ours that is all that matters and I hope we get a chance at them again

The post game hand shake should be eliminated or reserved for friends like Holmgren and Parcels.

Or perhaps Belichik should simply observe the unspoken forms and standards of the NFL. Every league has its own unwritten code of behavior.

The victory formation exists for a reason. The clock does not stop on running plays for a reason.

If Belicheat is guilty of running up the score, so are the skill players. Even if the call is a deep pass, Brady could check down or throw the ball too high if he didn't want to run up the score. Randy Moss could decide that it was time to stop playing at top speed, much like he would do if they were losing by as much as they win.

I'm not in favor of taking out anyone if you are losing and they are running up the score, but I know players have done it for much less. I don't consider it running up the score myself; the losing team needs that humility to realize the need to kick it up a notch instead of being a laughing stock in comparison.

And players like Chad Johnson and some others show disregard for league etiquette when they scored TD and rubs it in the other teams face yet few around here have a problem with it. Oh that is entertainment. As a player and now as a fan I only concern myself with what my team is doing not what the other team is doing. If I don't want to be embarrassed then I better get myself ready so that I don't embarrass myself or my team

Bob sanders was on the radio today and when they asked him if he thought the Pats have been running up the scores and if he feels they take cheap shots. he said put it this way if they try that Crap with us Brady is going to suffer the consequences. He went on to say that Karma is a b and what goes around comes around. He said if they have a large lead and they want to keep him in then the way he sees it a 15 yard penalty is going to hurt the Pats more then it will hurt them... Wow I think Bill had better stop messing with teams some bad people are getting pretty upset.

Congrats, Bob Sanders you just got sucked.

Oh and I hope your use to running and chasing from behind, because the pats wont let you play going forward this week.

Sanders does not want them to pull that crud or else Brady is going to suffer? Come of this is cheap talk you don't want to get beat then go out and beat them instead of talking about what you would do if the Pats start to running up the score.

Bab Sanders is probably the freakin DPOTY right now. I think he can pretty much say whatever he wants.

He is right. That 15 yard PF is gonna hurt the Pats more than that 20+ pts they are trying to run up.

I am glad to see Sanders taking this stand about the Pats. Put it out there. Everyone is so chicken#$%$# of offending the Pats. Who cares.

Its like Doom here saying he shouldn't say this. What a crock. Yes, he should say this and then he should go out and take care of business.

Awesome to see someone out there saying this stuff.

Whatever.

Little League Baseball is as good an analogy to the NFL as golf was.

Chad Johnson may indeed by disrespectful. However, league-wide perception of Johnson's antics clearly differs from that of Belichik's.

That's the core issue here: perception.

I don't look at as offending the Pats who cares if they are offended or not. What I'm saying if I see a guy talking about taking out my QB and I don't care what his reason is I'm going to start looking at their QB in the same regard. 2 way street don't think 1 team can go out and intentionally take out one teams QB and not expect the same from the other team. As I said before I see this as nothing more than tough talk just as we see in boxing before a fight. I doubt Brady or Manning is worried about what Sanders had to say.

Again - so what. Let me break it down for all the Bellicheat/Patriot love fans we have on the board.

Bob is pretty much saying.....

"Dont start nuthin.....Won't be nuthin" That about sums it up I guess.

I agree preception and preceptions does not mean jack. I doubt Brady is going to worry about what Sanders had to say. He can talk all he wants but so what that is all it is tough talk.
