Bob Sanders on running up the scores

I don't care if he talks or not I just think it is stupid to make these comments. If I'm a defensive player on the Pats and I hear someone talking about cheap shotting my QB regardless of the reason I just may be looking for my own cheap shot on your QB. Revenge is a 2 way street not just for the Colts because they don't like how the Pats play. Colts need to concern themself on how they play not what they may do if they get their butts kicked

He's said if the Pats disrespect them, that he'll take it personally and do what it takes to stop it. If the Colts were to disrespect the Pats by running up the score, I would expect the opposing team to do the same.

As of now, the Colts don't have that rep. And one guy simply talking about what he's going to do if he gets disrespected won't mean anything... IF THEY DON'T DISRESPECT THEM!!!

That's all he's saying. You run it up on me, I take action. He's not going headhunting in the 1st quarter.

The Pats would be justified in doing the same thing. And that includes retaliating if Sanders takes a shot at Brady. But someone has to make the first move.

I respect the ability of the Pats and do not sit here crying about how they cheat, they played us and won fair and square I can deal with it but then I'm not a sore loser and I can accept the fact that someone out there just may be better than us right now.

Don't disrespect a team and not feel that retaliation isn't deserved for said disrespect. If you are out to just show a team up and disrespect them then you deserve whatever you got coming.

They'll just make sure Sanders is isolated in the pattern and that he's the one who gives up the extra points and ends up too far from Brady to make a late hit.

Any player who willfully takes out (injures) another player after the whistle or on an illegal play because his own defense can't compete with the other teams offense deserves to be suspended for at least a full 16 games. There's zero justification for that kind of thinking. It's against the rules, it's immoral, it's bad for the game, and it should be considered grounds for criminal and civil prosecution.

And when can we dispose of the unrealistic notion that doing what you're supposed to do on the field during a *game* is somehow disrespectful to the other team? Owens on the star? That's disrespect. Scoring a touchdown because you can? Give me a break.

You are actually kinda twisted your ownself. I actually want my son to grow up w/ the understanding of what Sportsmanship really is. It's not running up the score to embarrass the other team which is what the Pats are just out to do to teams.

You can't keep everyone from Brady. If Bob Sanders says this, probably means that others are thinking it.

And this is football. It's a rough sport. If you don't want others taking cheap shots at you, then be respectful. I know I definitely wouldn't go around making my players targets for the sake of showing off.
