And just the opposite is true for me. His given initials are AP - for Adrian Peterson. I could care less about some nickname that nobody uses in the NFL.

Nobody in the NFL "uses" it because they don't know any better.. but his nickname is most certainly AD... That's what it's been since childhood.

They have a young QB that played extremely well in the second half of last season. They think they can win next year and make the playoffs. Losing Peterson dampers their hopes significantly and they think they are not in rebuilding mode, but in capitalize on their current talent mode. So it ain't happening.

Bingo. I have never been a big fan of Romo but he is very good QB with some slight negative side effects... but I would be the first one to say that there is no telling what we get after him. It could be a good QB or a horrible QB. We know we have one of the top 4 teams in the whole NFC right now. If you add AP we quickly go to #1 and the team to beat. We also prolong Romo's career. Right now we have nothing but question marks with current our RB's.

Serious question to those that took the much appreciated time out of their day to entertain the "clickbait"...

If it is so obvious that AD/AP isn't potentially going to be traded, why hasn't the FO come out and officially put it to bed to end all speculation.

I think that's a bit harsh.

I was fine with having a dedicated Peterson thread in the Fan Zone and felt it was the most fair way to handle things. Those that wanted to talk about the subject had a dedicated thread and didn't have to search around for it, and those that didn't had a clearly marked thread that they could avoid.

Well, there were different areas that could been separated to be discussed.
Different articles. So someone could find a topic they could have discussed or responded to.
But when it's all in one huge thread, a person looking for the first time would need to spend longer looking through it than reading war and peace. Then why bother. So someone starts a new thread...then it's merged...
So have them in a separate area, would be easier to navigate through it.

I understand what your saying, and why it was done. But some, like myself, and maybe I'm in the minority. But I wouldn't mind giving my opinion on it, but not when it's a novel to go through. To see if someone posted what I already would post also.
