Bob Sturm: Cook, Lamb and Gallup have only 6 targets and zero receptions in red zone plays

Show the videos. I've got the All-22. Didn't see them open.
Gallup was open on that underthrown ball where they picked up the pass interference flag.

Lamb was also open in the Giants game on the 2nd & 4 play at the 9:27 mark of the 2nd quarter and Dak air mailed it over his head.

I don't care about Cooks not having any targets in the redzone. What's frustrating is the lack that Lamb has and Gallup to a lesser extent.

I always wonder who is really turning these contract offers down, the player or the agent. My guess is its the agent. The more money their client gets the more that can go into their pockets.

The agent “denied“ the rumor later. However, Breer is pretty reliable. Plus I believe Schultz thought he would get a massive payday and didn’t

I’d rather do what we’re doing on offense then try to win with Dak slinging it all over the place.

We have a defensive team. Don’t let Stats Prescott lose these games for us just so our wideouts have some empty calorie stats.

I’ll say this though. Tolbert has earned the right to play more.

What? Dak actually threw the pass to Gallup during that what was supposed to have been a pass interference call.

We're talking about the Cardinals game. Stick to this game, not any other.

What would have made him think he was worth it? He's had a very average and unremarkable career up to this point. Maybe he thought he could take Jerry to the cleaners like others have done in recent years.

This can be a very simplified stat. For example, against the Jets (I believe), Dak overthrew Ferguson in one corner of the end zone and had Lamb wide open in the other end. Choosing Ferguson was not a bad play-call, just poor execution. It doesn't matter who is targeted as much as it matters if the play-call worked and was executed properly.
Lamb should have several TDs by now.

He’s open.

3 of those 6 targets came in one game - against Arizona when they have their biggest red zone problems of the year. In other words, this stat means nothing. None of those guys were open Sunday.

I think down near the goal line you have to be able to run the football, use deception, and have plays to designed to get guys open. Fade and that stuff, are hard to execute down there.
That's true. But good teams can do it when it counts. The Cowboys better fix this problem
