The Dak hate blinds objective evaluation.

Do you think it is just a coincidence that the biggest defenders of Lance saying "just wait till the preseason games and you will see his greatness" are also the most hard-core posters against resigning Dak.

Just an observation I have noticed.
And the hard-core Dak fans hate Trey instead of team first.

Nobody was claiming Dak was anything back in 2016, the only reason he got the starting job is because Romo got his back snapped in-half during a preseason game against Seattle.

The backup was kellen Moore, but he broke his leg in training camp.

So, the 3rd team QB by the name of Dak Prescott got the starting job by default because everybody else was hurt.
I was the only one claiming Dak would be QB1 and franchise QB for the Cowboys way back in training camp 2016 back in the old official Cowboys Fans website.

Ask @Diehardblues .

I said Dak would be the starter and even lead the team to 11 straight wins and a 13 - 3 season record. I can't say how I knew it, but I knew it.

You believe the 49ers gave up all that draft capital for a backup QB? You think Jerry traded a 4th for a QB just for the hell of it and not because his scouts rated him as a high second round pick the year he entered the draft?

You’re the one who said he’s not a starting QB as if he could never be one. You keep repeating it to entrance people with it.
Rating someone in the draft is not the same as rating someone 2 years later.

The Niners specifically Lynch, fell in love with Trance's potential, not his floor. They believed their current team was talented enough to let him struggle and develop. They were massively incorrect. They recognized it, signed Darnold and punted. Then they let Purdy, an experienced college QB drive the bus.

Shanahan wanted to stay put in the draft and he wanted Mac Jones. A very experienced college QB, who easily could drive the bus in SF. Shanahan gave into and signed off on Trance, against his better instincts.

Then we sign Trance to a contract that expires at the same time as Dak's. The entire world new Trance needs experience. When and how was he going to get that sitting behind Dak?

If we signed him to be a back up it was a dumb trade. We already had a legit backup in Rush. If we signed him to take over for Dak, when and how was he going to get the experience that he desperately needed?

No matter what way you want to look at the trade, it was completely stupid.

Trading for a player entering year 3 based off their original draft grade is unbelievable stupid. Players are constantly reevaluated. That is why GM Jethro needed to talk to his his scouts and Coaching staff before making a moronic decision by himself.

He wanted Mac Jones.....now that QB sucks. And you use that as a glowing analysis of Shanahan. :lmao:
Glad you are a NFL expert scout and coach and GM to know all of this.

What do you think of Dak's playoff performance against GB? And SF as well.

Who is hating on Trey?

He has not taken a single snap for the Cowboys, he is an unknown that many people have very legitimate concerns about, like arm strength, accuracy, pocket presence, durability, ect...

Just like there are very legitimate concerns about Guyton playing LT as a rookie, but I dont see anybody being accused of hating on Guyton and being accused of not being "team first".

Obviously the difference is Dak and you and me both know it.

Serious? Have you seen the posts about Trey on here. Especially by one poster.
He hates Trey more than another member hates Dak.

No he has not taken a single snap. That is why I am waiting to see more from him. Especially in PS games. I will not judge him from his time in SF. Nor a few practices.
But we have so many experts on here that feel they know better. Maybe they will be right, or may be wrong. It is all a guess at this point.

Mac Jones had a great rookie season in NE.

Had 3 different OC's in 3 different years and 3 difference offenses.

NE failed him.

There is always going to be one or two posts from the fanatics on either side of an issue, I am talking about the run of the mill overall posts about Lance.

And you are right, nobody knows exactly how Lance will do in an actual game, he might play very well or he might totally suck.

We shall see, after all he is a free agent too next year along with Dak so he is auditioning for 31 other teams as well.

Excuses, he sucks.

So how did NE fail him, and SF did not fail Trey? You are contradicting yourself with this one.
If not for his injuries, Purdy would not be on the field or very possibly on the team.

Just like Tom Brady. If not for an injury to Bledsoe, he would not have seen the field for a few years, if at all.

We need to move Trey to RB or WR or even special teams. Dude has athletic ability. But he's not an NFL starting QB.

Trey is not a QB. Figure it out already.

He struggled in HS, only played QB 1 year. He had 55 completions His own HS Coach said he was a RB. Trance got zero scholarships offers to play QB. Only played 1 year in college.

He is a massive project.

Making the Pro Bowl as a rookie QB typically means you suck. You are correct.

Funny, he has been listed and playing QB no matter how much experience he has had. But yet he is not a QB.

You love bringing up his lack of high school playing time. That is your argument? As I been saying I will wait, and watch to see. I am not taking your word for it.
Nor that Bobby Belt Dak lover Trey hating reporter. Any fan that hates on a player as much as some can't be taken seriously. Especially when they have to insult that player calling them names.
