This is after Cooks?

Why would Wagner agree to this?
He signed a five-year, $50 million deal with $20 million in guarantees on March 31, 2022.He more or less agreed to it last year with the deal he signed with the Rams. Was set up to where they were able to 1 and done the deal.
Oh wow far more than I thought. Sheesh.Yes and doesn’t include the 10.8 million in savings from Zeke. So we’re actually 24 million under …..magic work by the front office really.
Good luck! Our team is getting very close. The pieces are coming together. Jerry is making moves like it is the early 90’s.
Jerry make the BIG move!!
Find a way to sign Bobby Wagner. Hopefully, Wagner will see what we are building here, along with a call from Micah AND decide to come to Dallas!!! Maybe Wagner will give us a bit of a discount.
I like the way LVE played last year, but Wagner would be a SOLID upgrade at MLB. Our LBer core with Wagner, LVE, and Clark would improve vs the pass and the run. Who knows, LBer could become the strength of the defense! That would be saying something.
Of course it is important to still pickup a big run stuffing DT or 2. Resigning Hankins would be a very good move if the price is doable.
Also, signing LVE should not stop us from signing Wagner. LVE signed a very team friendly deal. We do not have very much money put into the LBer position right now.
FWIW… Broaddus just said today on Love of the Star podcast he doesn’t think Wagner will happen.
Today we need a stud LBer that can control the middle of the field. We have Micah and others to rush the passer like Haley did.Huh? Charles and Wagner can in no way have the same impact-

Of course Haley and Wagner play different positions, that impact the game differerently, but Wagner can still have a HUGE impact for THIS defense!!!
His stats last year say differently!! 6 sacks, double digit tackles for losses!!I tend to agree the more I think about it and it has little to do with money.
Reports are that Wagner has lost a step and doesn’t run as well as he used to. Considering we’re looking for a sideline to sideline linebacker to replace Barr, the fit doesn’t seem to be there with Wagner.
That being said I’d still welcome the signing.

About what? Try being a little more specific.
Why not? He’s still a force absolutely. But he’s not the OLB we’re looking for. And you can’t move LVE outside.
thisHankins and Ashwan are FAR more important
Why not?
You must not think we are very close?Wagner is a great LB, but no way is he a missing piece to a title.
