Bogus call on Gregory

Apparently you cant grab the ankles of the QB when he still has the ball in his hand:huh:

The officiating was horrible, for both teams...……….the Eagles got screwed on their TD getting called back, that was not a push off
Just put flags on the QB's then, Cant hit them high, cant hit them low , cant tackle them and land on top of them

Rewatch the damn play dude. Heath doesnt stumble backward from "bumped" a bumped facemask. I think it was a tic tac call sure but there were several, remember dlaws contact to the snappers head that coukd have been huge had philly went for 2 instead of the extra point. The officials are crap this year but we had some crappy ones against us too
To be fair. He’s already admitted there was one bad call against the Cowboys which is over his limit for being honest and having reasonable judgement. True he did qualify it by saying we got a “net gain” out of it-whatever that is, but he must get some credit.

Keep in mind that his posts regarding refs are consistently and without fail idiotic. So again, give him a break. Please. So he’ll shut up.

He started his tackle at his thigh. Wentz stayed up and Gregory slid down lower. It was absurd. Basically if you start to lose grip in his thighs you must let go.

There were definitely bad calls both ways and there are plenty of plays like the Saints game where the officials flat out miss a facemask or spearing hit.

But there was only one call that you absolutely can't make rhyme or reason of - and it was roughing the passer on a DE that has the QB in his grasp. I can't wait to read the follow up on that call because its mystifying.

EDIT - the helmet call on DLaw for the deep snapper was close to that also. You coiuld hear Aikman completely at a loss for words and throwing it to Pereira like "lil help....."
When is the follow up given?

Please post it when you see it.

Rewatch? I posted the play. Quote that post and tell me whether Heath bit on the fake or not. That's what put him at a disadvantage. A push off wasn't necessary when Heath did that because Heath was in recovery mode.

I'll do you one better. Here's the GIF. Goeddert fakes right and then moves left. Heath bites on the initial move and the 2 butt helmets incidentally before Goeddert does a swim move to go left. Heath simply got caught out of position. Watch his feet to see him bite to his left. The bonus GIF is the missed helmet to helmet on Woods. Badly officiated game overall but they blew 2 on this one play alone.

Not sure how to quote you post but CLEARLY contact made by Goeddert caused Heath to stumble backwards. Its pretty clear dude. Time to clean the eyeballs

That's two weeks in a row with bad calls on Gregory. I bet they are getting paid by someone to make these dumb calls.

Yeah, there's a conspiracy against Randy Gregory - a guy most fans outside of the NFC East don't even know exists.

I had a feeling they were going to throw the flag. After watching the play a few times it was a terrible call.

It was a bad call
So was the one on the eagles the play before
So was the last holding call on Smith ..the 1st 2 were legit..not the 3rd.....where the facemask call on Dak?
Refs suck ..cost Dallas 2 games this year....

Anyone have a video of this penalty? I wanted to show a friend who missed the game what he thought of that penalty.

What you guys think of it?
I thought it was terrible.

Since no one answered you, see below. Apologize for the crappy quality but it was a file I had to downgrade. I agree it was a crappy call, especially when I saw the Giants-Washington game earlier where there was a defender draped around Sanchez' ankle and couldn't bring him down before Sanchez threw a pass that the receiver dropped anyways. Again, piss poor officiating everywhere.

EDIT: @QuincyCarterEra posted video above this too.
