He might honestly be the best coach we’ve had in the last 20 years at scouting talent. He discovered and scouted Turpin personally. He discovered and scouted Aubrey personally.

You’re never gonna be perfect and sometimes fakes and other things will go sideways, but you know he coached up Juanyeh Thomas on inside kick returns that led to that.

Normally I would agree. Today, no. There were more special teams screw ups to last quite a while.

Starting with Aubrey getting his FG attempt blocked. Just one screwup after another the rest of the game.

I cannot believe we didn't have a penalty on that Turpin return because 90% of our special teams plays results in a penalty. We had a blocked punt and a blocked extra point. He's not a good coach.

Well I believe (I could be totally wrong here) that they are supposed to help you win football games by gaining field position or scoring. Given that 22 of our 34 points came from special teams today (despite a block and missed fg), I’d say they did ok.

I was picking on Bones due to the blocks.

I do think he is a good special teams coach overall. Today’s game was definitely up and down for the unit though. The first half they were awful. Second half they were very good.

With Seibert going Heimlich maneuver it’s really something to have not only the best place kicker in football and the best return man in the game . Anger would seem to be a top five punter himself .

Even the last kick return TD was a bad play. Juanyeh Thomas should have just went down and secured the win. Gave Washington one more shot with the ball, albeit with 14 seconds left.
