Bones Fassell to Titans

I may be misunderstanding or misremembering the role of Fassel vs scouting in their acquisition but I believe he was the one who pushed to acquire them.
I think he might have but any decent ST coach will do well with those two.

Replaceable, Turpin and Aubrey are not.
Bones won a game for us.

remember the onside kick where the ball was kicked flat?

an amazing coach.

elite.

saw him coaching a group of 10+ kids before camp practice in Oxnard last Summer.

parents gave him permission. Picked them from the crowd.

had grade school kids doing basic drills for 15 minutes.

anyone hating on Bones doesn’t know anything about him.

Jump in....I'll double flush!

Most if not all of our coaches had expiring contracts, just like Mike. They have the right to go find jobs instead of waiting for a low ball offer from Jerry to work under an unknown coach. Most of them were here with Moore. Who knows how many would agree to work for him.
My guess is the only way any will return is if they can't find a job with another team. At the end of the day these coaches, want as much security as possible, and with Jerry, you get anything but that.

Jerry has very poor judgement if he let Bones walk over $$$$.

He’s hunting a head coach. Do you think he has even talked to Bones since the end of the season? I certainly don’t.
He probably heard this about the time we did. On January 15, those coaches no longer worked for the Cowboys and probably cleared out of their offices.

If you say he won a game that way, he also lost one against the Bengals if you want to play that game. I never said he was a bad coach, pretty good in fact. But rueing a ST coach is way way down the list of the problems right now. Turpin and Aubrey is a good start for whoever is next.

This makes no sense what is happening in Dallas  Please commissioner!!!!!! Make this mad man sell the team...PLEASE!!!!!

He came in ridiculously overrated. He left the same.

He was blessed to have some great specialists, but his decision making was always highly suspect.
I think he's the reason we have those specialists. His involvement in us signing Aubrey is well-documented. I'm not sure if he played a role in the Turpin acquisition or how much of a say he had in signing Anger and Seig. I won't be surprised, though, if he's the main reason we got them. He has a good eye for special teams.

I wonder if he'll take CJ Goodwin with him? Turpin is a RFA, so it's basically up to us to tender him at a level where he won't be able to leave.

Good news. Still can’t believe the thread on here where people were defending the crap he did here. McCarthy gone and Fassel gone. Solari needs to be next. that’s a lot of addition by subtraction to me regardless if whether Jerry screws up the next batch of hires or not

Now that McCarthy is no longer in the running for the Bears job, you will see many of the former Cowboys Assistants get picked up around the league.

Tbh I was hoping he would be our interim coach and maybe get a shot at the head spot. I think he's the Dallas coach I've thought the most highly of since Parcells.
