I liked him a lot, but why couldn't he keep our special teamers from holding and/or blocking in the back on every single punt/punt return/kick-off/kick-off return?? Even my mom knew the penalties were inevitable.

We had terrible penalties and other gaffes all the time on ST, just because he had Aubrey and Turpin doesn't make him good.

Batting a thousand.

That's when Kellen Moore leaves at his discretion
Quinn leaves at his discretion
McCarthy leaves at his discretion.
And Fassel leaves at his discretion.

The only thing better would be to see Booger pack his clown car, plop Jr in the backseat and leave at his discretion.

Now that McCarthy is no longer in the running for the Bears job, you will see many of the former Cowboys Assistants get picked up around the league.
McCarthy could still land at another spot, possibly New Orleans, but yeah, if you're an assistant, you're not going to wait around if offered a job.

I actually am glad he is gone. Some of these poor timed poorly prepared fake punts as well as sending pressure at poor times (increasing likelihood of penalty giving other team first down), just mind blowing at times.

Jerry and Stevie don’t want an expensive veteran coach there. Better to hire someone really inexperienced and cheap.

If we were going to keep anyone Bones would've been my pick. Great hire for TN at our expense.
Ditto here .

He was responsible for developing and refining Turpin and kicker Brandon Aubrey,... and we've never block as many punts under Bones as any SP coach we've had.

Once we did away with the fake punts, and played str8 up special teams, Bones gave us probably the best special teams in NFL, imo

But this move just spells that we're gonna have a complete overhaul of coaches...

You mean Fassell was not waiting with baited breath at the idea of coaching under the great Boy Wonder KM

Traitor, he is a traitor I tell you.

Good.
If We're cleaning house and starting over, then We should do it completely.
I never like the idea of brining in a new HC and keeping guys from the previous failed regime.
If this Team is serious about instilling a new winning culture with new leadership (which I seriously doubt), preaching a new message with old voices is not the way.

I wish all of Our Coaches the best of luck in Their future endeavours, but ultimately, this is a results business and the results were not good enough and it's time to go.

I will never fault a guy though trying to win. Especially when the offense was looking like it was looking and the defense.

We had the best special teams unit in the game and people think that was just by luck. Bones had nothing to do with it….I guess….
