The ending was weird though. The guy had been bleeding out all day. Then let's a citizen come lift a tarp and see him then let's the guy go and call the police. But when the police gets there has the strength for one final gun fight? Strange ending to a long sad week.

CNN just showed new footage of a gun fight with suspect 2. It was in day light. I know the first battle was at 4 in the morning and then again at 8 at night. Did I miss one during the day? I paid attention for most of the day when did I miss that.

I would like to see him go to trial, all evidence come out and him to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Sorry if that offends anyone.

What's the law? Can he be executed? Plus is there a public safety exception to Miranda?

I am glad he is in custody. Hopefully they can get information for him.

I'm not that old but I don't ever recollect watching the news & seeing a city locked down like that.

That what's wrong with society and the justice system. A big tall tree and a short piece of rope would deter a lot of senseless killings. Eye for an eye Josey Whales style.

Massachusets doesn't have the death penalty if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, lynchings are exactly what's missing from our once-great society.

He must have missed Hang 'Em High. I would say it takes way too long for a trial these days.

The kid will not get the death penalty. Him and his lawyers will make a plea just to get life w/o parole in exchange for information. He is a scared 19 yo no longer with an older brother to pressure and guide him. I think he will sing like a canary and give leads to a linked terrorist network, if there is one.

If he wasn't afraid of dying, he would not have been caught alive IMO, he will talk and avoid the death penalty in the process. I am staying away from my personal beliefs, only just what I think will happen, whether or not I agree with what will happen.

and the Miranda matters how?

With the evidence gotten in his home the witnesses from the car jacking and everything else why would they worry about anything he says? They got him DEAD without it.

They do not, .. but once the Feds took over the investigation from the Boston and Massachusetts police, the death penalty was on the table.

He is 19, the younger brother, and we haven't executed anyone associated with the GWOT. The odds are against death.

There aren't any Judge Isaac Parkers on the bench.

If we were serious, everyone associated with AQ would be executed.

If they do not put this guy to death, .. then we may as well just do away with the death penalty.

Sets off bombs in a crowd of people, killing a child along with 2 others, maiming many others, shooting and killing a police officer, throwing bombs at police, etc.

The Feds do though. Under a terrorism statute, iirc.
