I don"t buy that the receiver running the wtong route caused the interception. Maybe the receiver did, but if you look at the replay from the camera behind the QB, the receiver had very clearly cut to a post pattern before the ball was released. Dak should have seen that.

Yeah. We know.

Rest of the team sucks too. Excluding Parsons when he’s in any position but the LB position. WR group is mediocre. RB group is mediocre. Meddling O-line. Weak and brittle defense. Just a huge joke overall.

Maybe you should follow the Rams, since they're in your home state. You'd likely be happier with them!

First 14 points handed over immediately. Then he can’t put a game winning drive to save his life. He’s trash. Cooper could at least drive the bus, Dak swerves off the highway and crash and burns it.
For whatever it's worth Rush scored the points vs the Vikes, Bengals, and Giants when we fell behind to win the game.
Also came back with the Eagles to 20-17 and with 1 def stop then we just might have won that one.
Dak just being Dak.....

I'm at the point where I think Hurts is straight up better than Dak. And I was really down on Hurts at the end of last season. But he's improved so much. I don't know how high his ceiling is, but it's higher than Dak's.
Just the fact Hurts can run like a demon qualifies him as better than Dak.
Seems his accuracy has improved from last season.
Both are need to be carried QB....

It's pointless highlighting the obvious to Dak Prescott fans. It's a team game but Dak Prescott played his part in the Cowboys losing a game they should have won. In a wide open NFC it's most disappointing as there's a great opportunity to reach the Superbowl this season.

Oh yes, another “wrong route”, with Dak staring down his WR once again. Doesn’t even bother turning his head with the safety basically already running to the bs.

I told you this guy is a 1-read QB that needs his OC to scheme his WRs open early.

Dak zealots will just say anything. The guy makes bone-headed decisions regularly. Yes, we know elite QBs do it here and there, but Dak is not elite and he does it regularly.

CD was Dak's second read on both INT plays you posted.

The one in the touchdown Shultz or CD clearly ran the play wrong, since we see them both arguing about the play afterwards. Also, CD not being aggressive on the play that where he suppose to go underneath the safety isn't Daks fault.

Yall want Dak to throw with anticipation, yet when the receiver runs the wrong route what is he suppose to anticipate?

These arent excuses, they are facts. Dak played poorly, but not as poorly yall want to make it seem.

Throwing with anticipation doesn't work that way. Dak expected CD to be there, at the time he suppose to be there. Since CD deviated from that route, he left Dak out to dry.

Which are.....?

Stick to comebacks and curls....staying away from timing slants or in patterns. I always thought his persistent throwing behind slant running receivers was due to him not releasing the ball (yips), yesterday showed that receivers (CD mainly) werent in the right position/route....but as someone said, Dak still makes the throw regardless of whether the play's been compromised (for whatever reason).

Dak needs to take responsibility to be able to see that a timed route isnt there and stop making a bad situation worse, but then again CD does have spells where he seems to dial out on concentration (wrong routes/drops etc) and I get the impression that Talbot went to a small school because of academic frailties, he cant even learn basic starting line up let alone the receiving play book.

Problem is we ran that as a timing route, hence Dak threw when CD wasnt there....I suppose the onus is on Dak to ensure the play is still there. Then again this has always been a concern regarding Dak, his ability to read how the plays are developing. If we're going timing pattern dont do it on a slant and play it short.

Granted CD can be a dubious route runner, but even if he'd got around the initial LB, he would of slowed to make the cut....at which point the Safety moves up and still makes the pick off.

That's the whole point why that play failed....just a poor play. Irvin's commenting on what CD should do...but speaking as if the secondary has no influence on the play whatsoever.

As a timing pattern there's too many imponderables that could of affected the play.

The defensive line is pathetic...cant stop the run even when they know the run is happening...

The issue with Dak is not entirely his fault. It's JJ, KM MM and the rest of the coaching staff. They believe he's an elite quarterback which he's knowhere near thus they scheme this way. They need to game plan where he just needs to drive the bus straight and not pretend hes Brady or Mahomes

He's an above average quarterback that will put amazing games together(sometimes against great teams) then look pedestrian agaisnt 2nd string defenses. Fans just need to accept he's never going to be anything more then above average / average

I agree in the most part except I think Prescott is a bang average NFL Quarterback. He should be throwing the ball a maximum of circa 25 times a game and using his legs more. Simplify the offense. The front office probably want to justify his ridiculous contract which is an issue in itself.
