...

With injury concerns for the Cowboys top three linebackers in Lee, Anthony Hitchens (knee) and Jaylon Smith (knee, drop foot); Dallas could certainly use a stabilizing force within their linebacker corps. Bowman could be that player...

Let me correct the above verbiage..."with injury concerns for the Cowboys with their lone good LB, Lee, and their halfway decent LB, Hitchens, the Cowboys could use a healthy LB that doesn't suck because they don't currently have one on their roster. Bowman, even on one leg, would be a significant upgrade to possibly the worst unit on a bad defense, esp if Marinelli doesn't convince him to suck like everyone else."

They should pay me to edit their stuff before they post it and look like idiots.

...Word surfaced on Sunday that the 49ers initially had an agreement to trade Bowman to the New Orleans Saints in exchanged for a seventh-round draft pick, but Bowman wanted to choose his new team and they obliged by releasing him.

This is interesting on its own, and it says that Bowman doesn’t want to play for the Saints. He clearly wants to play for what he views as a contender, and that the Oakland Raiders and Dallas Cowboys are first on his list says a lot.

Many would say that neither of those teams are contenders based on the first few weeks of the 2017 season. It is interesting to note though that Aaron Rodgers broke his collarbone on Sunday, making the NFC a far more wide open race than it was before. This could legitimately be a factor in Bowman’s decision as the Cowboys theoretically no longer have the Packers to go through...

If that's the case he should have gone to NO. Drew Brees is on fire!! That dude is just amazing.

He is NOT a number one but he has shown to have some elite ability as a big play receiver in the past. He could add a dimension the team doesn’t have.

Not true, we already have a wr on the roster with the same attributes as Bryant in Brice Butler.

he doesn't play in any of the "passing downs" He is the sam and comes off the field in all the 3 + corner 3 or more safety looks.

What makes you say he is the cover guy? He has never even played the shark role in those deacon sets.
as i said since camp they always picked him to compete against Zeke but maybe that was just to help him get better?
they never covered Zeke with Lee or Hitchens
its true on 3rd they do pull the sam
they have been bringing in a nickle back instead like Woods
Woods is better in coverage any day

brice is a lite version of bryant but with way less headaches. martavis has the talent and ability to be a legit #2 if he can keep his head straight imo. on the top end brice would still be barely a #2.

I agree with part of your post.

He is NOT a number one but he has shown to have some elite ability as a big play receiver in the past. He could add a dimension the team doesn’t have.

Only problem will be...it would mean goodbye Noah Brown who I really like.
a better short term solution since they are just drafted is to get more package for the 2 little fast twitch guys Cole and Switzer
they should be weapons

How good is he in our system and how much will he cost? Those are the two main questions above whether or not he has fully healed.

The one thing that we have on our side Sean Lee and his past history w/ Bowman. They were boys back @ Penn State and have remained boys throughout their tenor in the NFL. Long shot, I know, but you can never put a price on friendship and having the ability to reunite w/ a teammate that you thought that you had played your last game with.

What's it going to be then, eh?

I wonder if Bowman throws a Chris Long and stands up Garrett for dinner.
