I always like it when DC.com posts the new weights of players. It's interesting to see who's put the time in the weight room.

Here's a few that stood out....

Marion Barber--220
Justin Beriault--210
Rocky Boiman--245
Chris Canty--300
Al Johnson--311
Rob Pettiti--327
Jerimiah Ratliff--305

Barber's up to 220 from 212. The added bulk may really be able to help him in short yardage.

I wonder if they'll update it after the players report to camp.

At 6-7? That's a bean pole for a lineman. He should be around 340-350.

I thought he was like 365 when he came to the Cowboys.

pettiti may be too heavy
I don't think so. Supposedly much of that is muscle. He needed to be heavier and stronger. The only question is does he have the agility to handle the extra weight. Sources (Dallas Cowboys) say yes. I suspect he will drop a few during the exsertion training camp. I look for him around to be around 315-320.

If he is Larry Allen strong and quick as a cat yeah no problem being 320.

I don't think thats possible. (with Larry benching 700lbs) If he can bench 500-550 I would be happy!

Actually he was closer to 340 when he came to the Cowboys and Parcells had him drop more weight. NFL.com had him listed at 325, so he was probably around 330-335, but it was all soft.

From an article

Petitti played as a senior at around 355 pounds, which he knew was too heavy. After the bowl, he went the wrong direction and peaked at 365, sparking rumors that he was ruining his draft prospects.

During Senior Bowl week in January, he ended up with a turf toe injury in the second practice -- Judy Petitti blames that replacement shoe -- and had to skip the game. He then couldn't run the 40-yard dash at the NFL scouting combine in February.

At about the same time, Petitti got motivated. He let go of any anger or frustration he was harboring, or maybe it was just immaturity. He lost 25 pounds, down to 340, five above his goal. He is in the best shape he has been in for a long time.

"It was hard because I couldn't run to lose weight, but I worked out on a bike, lifted and had some hard pool workouts," Petitti said. "I told my trainers I could have ridden a bike back home with all that riding."

At Pitt's pro day last week, he was still hampered by the toe injury and ran a 5.4-second 40. He's confident he can run a 5.25, so he's returning to Pitt Tuesday to work out for NFL scouts again.

Petitti is projected to be drafted in about the third round April 23. "Now I'm in shape, so I don't know when I'll go or if I might move up," Petitti said. "I just know that I only need two or three teams to like me."

no one is cat-quick carrying 300 pounds.

Im glad to hear the added bulk for Johnson, though. Hopefully he can maintain it.

I didn't mean it literally. He needed to lose weight but he still needs bulk and strength.

Let's just hope Al Johnson put the weight on the right way and not my way :D

Yikes! This guy is going to be an absolute monster!

Yep

Remember last year he could not work out because of the eye. He played last season out of shape.

It would be nice if we knew when these weights were taken. They have Montavious Stanley at 310. Wasn't he 340 when we drafted him?
