No , but I could do without Robinson . Unger can play ANY position on the line and I'd love to have his versatility . I like Robinson , but I'm pretty pleased with what Dallas has in Kosier , Holland , and Davis . I'd rather have somebody that was versatile enough to play anywhere .

May not be glamorous but we'd be getting 2 players who will start 6 to 8 years for us.

It would also mean we could immediately release Cory Proctor. How does that not help us????

Football wars are won and lost in the trenches. Our current left tackle may block like an all-pro on first down, false start on second down and may not even care enough to block on third down.

Left guard is as good as its starter. Period... and he may have a lingering injury question mark hanging over his head this season.

Center is solid, but falters on shotgun snaps from time-to-time and needs occasional help with his line calls.

Now, the thread questions the value of gaining two quality, top-notch, multi-positional offensive linemen.

Well, hells yes that's a good idea, but it ain't happening this month. Robinson might be available, but Unger won't be. It's a nice dream, though.

I don't know anything about Unger but I'd love the Duke pick. I'd prefer a LT to a center.

And Gurode is a center and a pro bowl center. He was terrible when we tried to make him a guard. How soon we forget Al Johnson.

He was very offensive at guard :D

Can we compromise at offensive guard that lines up at center, snaps the ball poorly and is a mental midget?

you need bright players at C, Gurode is not bright, to say the least
well he's gonna be our center for the next 5 years. the future does not look bright for this team.

that was as a young lad, I just think Gurode shouldn't be responsible for getting everyone lined up anymore, he's probably the biggest reason a line with alot of names can't succeed under any line coach, or blocking scheme

No, he isn't. He could be a guard no problem though.

If we had a better option then maybe look at moving him but do you think a rookie is a better option?

The fact remains we tried him at guard and he was terrible. He moves back to center and is a pro bowler.

I never want to see Gurode play guard again in my life.

Too many around here have forgotten the horror that was Al Johnson and him sitting on his butt play after play.
