BP says that Peytons hand movements are 90% bogus...

Really?

Who were they and what did they do exactly?

McNabb was one, I think against the Giants early in the season.

He made a subtle move away from the center (seemed to be screwing around a bit), and he was called on it.

The other was more recent, but I can't remember who it was called against - it might have been brother Eli......

It is hard to ignore annoying things.

As irritating as Peyton is with his, it is even more nerve-wracking when you see Eli do it.

It looks like an infant imitating an adult. Some might find it amusing in a puerile way, but it wears me right out.
~quickly looking up puerile on dictionary.com~

Oh yeah... I remember that one with McNabb... then the Giants went on the beat them down

Erik Williams 'hands-to-the-face' rule, which was pretty much a result of Reggie White's consistent whining because he couldn't get through Erik Williams... after they invented the rule, Erik Williams' play was just not the same...

Not exactly true. He wasn't the same after his car wreck.

and with all that hand movement, fake change of calls, he is so pretictable with the snap because he always runs the clock down to 1 or 2 seconds.

I think he got his nose smashed in too many times

K-Dub's touch the receiver with a feather pass interference rule...

Rules nowadays tend to be made up when the Cowboys play the Commanders...

Who is K-Dub?

About the QB pulling away from center. It's ok when I see a QB step up to the center look around then decides to back off, that doesn't seem like a problem. But I've seen PManning come up stick his hands down there appears to say something then he backs off.

K-Dub = Kevin Williams

As long as he is the Michael Jordan of the NFL(minus the titles:D )... he will get a pass.

That is what I thought and it didn't make sense to me that he was associated with pass interference. Maybe he meant Kevin Smith.

Kevin "pup" Williams would be correct

I still can't figure how him pulling away from center isn't a false start........

No more than Staubach backing away into the shotgun, or any other QB yelling out an audible or motioning a TE or WR into position.

Not really.

But it still does nothing to negate the fact that it is annoying.

It reminds me of people when they use the "quotation marks" sign with their fingers when talking.

I could attack someone when I see that.
Ah c'mon, when Chris Farley did it you know you laughed.

it's also counterproductive.

he'd actually be a better QB (which is SCARY!) if he had a real HC/OC who told him EXACTLY what to do and stick to it... especially in the big game where he folds like a tent.

he's like an offensive coordinator, but a bad one.

Personally, I think his movements are a direct attempt to keep the defensive linemen second-guessing the snap and therefore slow down their pass rush.

And I think it directly results in lower sack numbers against the Colts.

I've seen several quarterbacks charged with false-starts this season and it still frustrates me that "the Golden Child" continues to get away with it.
In other words it's smart as hell.

From what I understand, as long as he doesn't put both hands under center he can back out. The two hands is considered the set position.

So i guess he hasnt done that?

I thought someone said he does... yet still pulls away?

I could be wrong. There is a first time for everything.
