Really enjoyed reading this one (long):
http://thelab.bleacherreport.com/dak-prescott/

Great story. Thanks for sharing. With that much support, grounding, hardwork and study, I'm thinking he's not going to be your ordinary rookie quarterback. Heck, even though it's highly improbable, I wouldn't be surprised if he throws/runs for four touchdowns against the Giants in his first regular season game.

I have relatives and friends who live in Haughton, LA (I grew up in Bossier City) and they all speak highly of DAK. They were talking about him before the draft and hoping the Cowboys drafted him.
I know that people will have a hometown bias, but I couldn't find anybody saying anything negative about the guy.

I have Dak and Andy Dalton playing the Jets. Who starts for my fantasy team this week?

Reading this from the lobby of a hotel.....I'm going to complain that the kitchens are cutting onions.

"when Peggy gave him $100 at Christmas when he was 10, Dak used most of the money not for himself, but for a makeup kit and a blow-dryer for his mom"

"Dak heard Peggy express sorrow for a fellow employee at Huddle House who couldn’t afford the one item on her five-year-old daughter’s wish list: a Wii gaming system from Nintendo. Dak went into his room, boxed up the Wii he’d purchased a few months earlier and handed it to Peggy.“Give it to the little girl,” he said. “Tell her it’s from Santa Claus.”"

This got me. I was such a little **** compared to this.

Dak has been through rough times in his life, I know exactly how that feels. No NFL game is going to phase this guy, and he won't be quivering in his boots at facing teams. He is going to come out on that field and give to anyone he faces, the guy is a winner as it's clear as day. This is not just a Qb that is a few game wonder, this guy is the real deal.

Spectacular article. Great, great kid.

Anyone ever watch the TV show Sports Night? In the pilot, the anchor (IIRC) for a sports news station was wrestling with the new world of sports and avoiding his kid knowing about his Dad's world, where arrests and general malfeasance was becoming the norm. The episode ends with him calling his wife to make sure his kid was watching as they aired an over-aged runner improbably winning a long distance race. He wanted his kid to know there was a reason he loved sports, and that reason still existed.

I'll make sure my kid reads this.

Half way thru the article right about the paragraph were Dak boxed up his Wii for the daughter of one of his moms coworkers....the tears started....******....who posted this article.

The text he is going to sit down and compose to his mother tomorrow will definitely be something to have us all "feeling some type of way"

I wish nothing but success for Dak and I hope it comes in Dallas.....
