Too bad we werent more like the niners. Hey, isnt their starting left tackle holding out? Oh, they have a qb that is gettiing paid next year too... lets see how things go for them at that point.

Big difference between not being able to pay everybody and not willing to pay anybody. Lamb really has no leverage. He has to return at some point. What is the upside of handling him in this manner? He sees other teams stepping up to sign their top players. In deference to wide receivers some teams are making sure their WR1 & WR2 are signed to significant contracts. What is CeeDee’s mindset being the Cowboys best player and having to hold out to compel the owner to sign him to a contract he’s satisfied with. Even when he eventually is signed he’ll never forget the treatment he’s getting from a team that will subsequently expect him to be determined to play his best. The Niners have enough weapons to be able to move Aiyuk. The Cowboys don’t have a better weapon than Lamb. When he is forced to show up will he be as positive about playing for the Cowboys compared to how he’d feel if the Cowboys show confidence in his ability and prove it by signing him to an extension commensurate with other top NFL receivers? This is unnecessary contention at best, ignorant foolishness at worst.

If the holdout lasts into the regular season. I doubt it will be with this offseason you never know. I’m counting on him being signed and hopefully get a few snaps in preseason.
