They already know that they will sign him. This move gains a roster spot for training camp.We start it season without Lamb and Dak does a poor job, you better believe Jerry will be on the phone ASAP
Why?Fine the hell out of him
I think that they already have a deal.worried? Not yet. a bit miffed? Yes I am. The Jones boys do this all the time. wait til the last minute as if it will cost them less by doing so. STUPID. Nothing is stopping Ceedee from demanding a trade. If the Jones boys aren't careful, he will. He has all the leverage. That is because they waited. Its almost like they are trying to weaken the team.... willful ineptitude by design? Plausible deniability guys. While Jerry and son are claiming to be all in and playing that aw shucks act on the fans, they damn well know they are undermining the team. Why? Because they wanna make changes instead of paying coaches and players. It boils down to money. Now if we happen to overachieve and go far this year, thats all gravy and unintentional.
Because he’s not honoring his contract. Why?
Im curious, how much did Jerry offer Lamb? Lamb has all the leverage? Hmmm, i was unaware the Cowboys cant tag Lamb if needed NEXT year since hes under contract this year. Too bad we werent more like the niners. Hey, isnt their starting left tackle holding out? Oh, they have a qb that is gettiing paid next year too... lets see how things go for them at that point.worried? Not yet. a bit miffed? Yes I am. I hope so. I don’t want him to miss any games.I think that they already have a deal.
Why would he do that?I hope so. I don’t want him to miss any games.
Big difference between not being able to pay everybody and not willing to pay anybody. Lamb really has no leverage. He has to return at some point. What is the upside of handling him in this manner? He sees other teams stepping up to sign their top players. In deference to wide receivers some teams are making sure their WR1 & WR2 are signed to significant contracts. What is CeeDee’s mindset being the Cowboys best player and having to hold out to compel the owner to sign him to a contract he’s satisfied with. Even when he eventually is signed he’ll never forget the treatment he’s getting from a team that will subsequently expect him to be determined to play his best. The Niners have enough weapons to be able to move Aiyuk. The Cowboys don’t have a better weapon than Lamb. When he is forced to show up will he be as positive about playing for the Cowboys compared to how he’d feel if the Cowboys show confidence in his ability and prove it by signing him to an extension commensurate with other top NFL receivers? This is unnecessary contention at best, ignorant foolishness at worst.Im curious, how much did Jerry offer Lamb? Lamb has all the leverage? If the holdout lasts into the regular season. I doubt it will be with this offseason you never know. I’m counting on him being signed and hopefully get a few snaps in preseason. Why would he do that?
Fans will revolt and call BS on the Joneses all in mantra if they don't sign him. So yes, Ceedee has the leverage because Jerry and Dopey inserted foot into own mouth. Painted themselves into a corner. Words matter. Fans are smart, we listen.Big difference between not being able to pay everybody and not willing to pay anybody. Lamb really has no leverage.
