He did not lead this team to three straight road wins. He was simply the one taking snaps. He almost lost the Washington game on his own.Nope. Dak is paid to win ballgames above all else.. No matter how it looks if the end result is a W then he has done his job and earned his paycheck. I'm sorry if that bothers some people but that's the reality. I watched nearly every snap of Roger Staubach's and Troy Aikman's careers.. They had stretches like this where they leaned on other parts of the team. Only in this twisted internet age would people be calling for the head of a QB who just led the team to three road wins in a row and has all but sown up a playoff spot in the process. Tom Brady has two Super Bowl rings when passing for about 150 yards and 1 TD, ironically against the Rams both times.. Ben Ruthlessraper won a ring with a passer rating of 27.6. Yet he's probably going to end up in the Hall of Fame largely because of that win. And don't get me started on Eli ".500 career record" Manning. This BS of creating narratives about the greatness of these other QBs without any context is really annoying. It takes a team to win in the NFL.. Period.. end of story. You wanna believe otherwise that's on you.. I know better.
The defense has played three straight stellar games. Without the defense continually bailing him out, we lose all three.
The game is different than it used to be. I put nothing into the numbers of quarterbacks in the past. All the rules in today's NFL are designed to make it easier for the QB and offenses. If those guys you mentioned played today, they would put up career numbers every year.
Let's not compare Dak to qbs who have more Superbowl wins than he does playoff wins.
